According to the Federal Minister of Education, Mr. Adamu Adamu, who granted a media conference in Abuja yesterday, said “the strike will be called off from today (yesterday) or tomorrow (today) and certainly, there won’t be strike next week.”.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU have been on strike since November 5th, 2018 after numerous attempt to reach an agreement with the Federal Government failed.
