Stephendeals:When we say Abok.i should go to school, this is what we are saying. They are part of the people dragging us back in this country. Unfortunately, the educated ones that are continual slaves, unfortunately my tribe, continue to be ruled by one man in Bourdillon SMH. |

chrisbaxtian:Dangote became the Richest man in Africa without Oil Business, If there was something cynical about him he would have no option other than to become the Richest by launching into Oil Business in the first place, in fact if he had ventured into Oil Business in the First place he would be competing with top ten Richest men in the Whole World not only the Richest man in Africa and he would have been Richer than he is now. It is the Government duty to make market favourable for Investors not everything is about Negativity all the Time, and i am very sure if there was anyone that is interested but the Government is not giving them chance as they claimed, they would have came out to debunked the CBN statement |

ojuu4u:If the cost of business is high, why ask for government subsidy? At least let us know you have no government help, and you can price your product any price. Not using our patrimony, our taxpayers money to get an unfair advantage and still price the citizens paying them to death. What is wrong, is wrong. Dangote is wrong here, he should have no support. |

Olawalesmarter:smh. dangote is a government made billionaire. the way he became rich was at the expense of enabling competition in areas he invested in. there was a time he was the sole importer of cement in Nigeria. now he is being given a heads start in the private refinery business with no one else to compete with him |

lloyds:It beats me how Nigeria, as an oil country does not have fully functioning refineries. To me corruption is not the problem in this country, rather nepotism. When children of politicians and other people who patronize them and do not merit the civil service jobs get it at the expense of those who merit, inefficiency and unprofessionalism will surely happen. Just see NIMC for evidence. |

Funkybabee:Unfortunately, AtikuObi, the so-called alternative is talking of privatizing everything. The GSM they privatized, there is a whole lot of problems with them. We should not even talk about the Electricity one SMH. Some things are supposed to be government owned, electricity and crude oil (especially for an oil country) are those. If the Nigerian factor called nepotism is that bad, a government with political will can outsource the recruitment to a company like Dragnet who will absolutely hire people on merit. Elimination of nepotism does not have to be for all sectors, just the electricity and crude oil ones and this country will be so much better. My 2 cents. |

yemi15:All over the world govt support her citizens in business-wise, e.g during Obama reigns he supported GM (general motors) bailout to reflate his business, why? Government knows if businesses ( foreign or indigenous) collapse in the country, it has aggregate negative effect on macro economy of the nation, Pls don't be myopic on issue of Dangote , what about (1). sooooo ooo many jobs that it would create. (2) influx of foreign exchange earning to Nigeria economy. (3). Marginal reduction in crime no matter how small it may be. etc Meanwhile if you read the article very well , CBN gov say he had not seen anyone again that comes out for establishment of refinery, he reiterated that if anybody comes out, he or she will be supported with forex, Any Nigeria citizens that wants cheaper and easier access to forex, let him or her do needful, ........do proposal, bring substantial amount of his or money, go to deposit bank for loan and lastly come to CBN for support |
