I took the result to a doctor and he prescribed Pefloaxin for me and I also took five injection to flush this bacteria and it seemed like I was getting out of the bond of this bacteria until the symptoms returned back few weeks later.

I decided to resort to Nairaland because most of the doctors I've gone to are incompetent, and I don't want to take too much antibiotics so that my body will not become resistant to it.. The way this staph is affecting me is becoming unbearable. I can't sleep or breath well

Someone suggested I go to general hospital since they seem to be more experienced but all na the same. They are always too much in a hurry to attend to patients and prescribe drugs.


Please if you have treated this stubborn infection before, how did you manage to cure it completely? Did you use drugs or herbs?

Staph is a stubborn infection. There is mrsa. Methicillin resistant staph aureus. Stubborn like Ekpan fly.

My recommendation. Do a microscopy, culture and sensitivity test, look for the antibiotics with the most inhibitory and potency effect and take the injections. Don't go for generic products o. Go for the original drug.

Take immune booster like immunace to help your body fight the infection.

Use gentamicin injection for a week. It will kill the bacteria. Staph is a bacterial infection.

Whichever hospital where talks of Vancomycin i.v is mentioned is where you need to be especially if yours is resistant to methycilin.

Use those two words when next you consult a doctor. Nothing that you can get from a roadside Pharmacy will cure it. Don't waste your money.

I took Gentamacin injection with some yellow small drugs like that and it stopped and after 2weeks the symptoms appeared again, i bought fluconazole, took the drugs and everything became ok till tho.

Well, first of all, the OP did a blood culture not a urine culture. If truly he had active Staphylococcus aureus blood infection (also known as septicemia) he would be severely ill and on admission in the hospital, or dead by now.
The symptoms of uncomplicated UTI are similar for men and women, painful urination (dysuria) and mild fever. The symptoms you mentioned can occur over time if a UTI is left untreated, resulting in a complicated ascending infection which can infect the kidneys (pyelonephritis).
Any person having painful urination and intermittent fever should see their doctor promptly for investigation and treatment.
