Nigeria cannot give over 50 million people jobs for the next 50 years.

10k is less than 30 dollars. You don't know what chain economy does. Everyone can't be lifted or taken care of directly. This is poor approach to the problem. A good economic policy will lift a good number of people especially from the middle class and the down line of these people will impact on the people down the ladder. I understand that 10k is enough for some people but we have to be realistic with the current economic situation. In my honest opinion, this 10k will at best provide the next meal to 90% of the beneficiaries.

A lot of extremely stupiid people who keep looking at this country from their own high grounds.

Anybody who's able to make a comment here is not among the class of Nigerians that the VP is talking about.

There are tens of millions of Nigerians who have never gathered #10,000 in their entire lives.

These Nigerians do not have no smart phones,
They do not buy fuel for cars and generators,
They do not hang out drinking beer every weekend,
They do not have homes made of cement but wood,
They do not have electric coolers in fancy kitchens but cool with firewood.
They do not send their kids to school unless the government builds government schools around them.

Give these people 10k someday and see them worship you for life! Just try.
Give them 10k to put into their tomato business or their grinding business and see them pray for you.

And trust me there are over 50 million of such people in Nigeria.
That's what buhari caused... And that's why your country is the poverty capital of the world... In a sane country do people go through what u typed... Seems u think the suffering was not by Buhari and osinbanjo After taking us to recession twice ....

You sound so daft! Giving them? How's that giving them #10k? Something they will return?

I don't know if you are really into SEO as your moniker says, but will 10k be enough to buy data in a month?

Tell me what business 10k will do in this Nigeria that will bring reasonable profit? Will 10k even buy a bag of rice?

Because you support a government doesn't mean you shouldn't talk when things are not right, don't be a slave!
How I wish God can drag you and your family to the level where you'd understand that #10000 is a huge amount of money. Do you know there are families that feed on #1000 per week and these are still regarded as the well to do ones. You don't have to comment on every post.

WTF do you mean by petty traders? OK fine, petty traders! What will 10k buy to fill their shop? How much would they have made as profit before they return the 10k? You as someone, what business can you start with 10k? Will you take 10k from Osibanjo?

You indeed sound so stupid. How many petty traders do you think can afford to even own shops.

Many just put a table in place just to display their wares. Which shop?

Which shop does the boli roaster have?
Which shop does the groundnut seller have?
Which shop does the corn roaster have?
Which shop does the pour water hawker have?
Which shop does tomato and pepper seller have?
Which shop does the onion seller have?
Which shop does the table top fish seller have?
Which shop does the crayfish seller have?

All these businesses I listed above you can start with 10k.

However this loan is not given to new petty traders about to start but to existing petty traders who are already part of a cooperative in their respective markets.

If you don't know how to grow 10k into 200k come and I will show you how to grow 5k to 100k

Nigeria can give the required jobs, if they fix 20.3million folks don't lose jobs directly.

Is that how banks give you loan and no plan for sustainability?

They are doing it wrongly..

I didn't want to reply you but on a second thought, I decided that I will educate your ignorance.

Firstly, let me save your insult till when I'm done, you'd see how stupid you sounded in that comment.

Businesses have different capital base, some can survive on N1,000,000 some will do fine with just a N100,000 and some would experience a boost with N10,000.

Most of those market women are strugglers and many of them, the total sum of the goods they're selling is not even up to N10,000. Imagine giving those people a relief of that amount, do you know what will happen to their businesses? Looking at it closely, these people are expected to pay back the money at a time frame that's convenient. Which means, they can buy goods with the money, make profit and use the profit to buy goods again even before refunding.

In life there are levels, that's why the programme is one of the poverty alleviation process of this administration.

Don't rubbish their hustle with your ignorance, they need the N10,000 even you

have you ever dashed 10k to somebody outside your family?

Oh so the country has too much money its now to be dashing out 10k? use the N20b to establish a company producing goods for export. That way we earn foreign exchange, diversify the economy and create jobs. Replicate same in each geopolitical zone. This Govt is totally bereft of ideas and policies to get the economy they destroyed back on track.

10k can only be enough for only traders into sales of kolanuts, matches, cigarettes, biscuits, candies etc in little quantities. However, most of those condemning this initiative don't even have up to that in their accounts. Remember that this country is quite populous and the cursed sharks at the helm of power won't let the average man be great.

If she is a petty trader then she knows what to do with the 10k to generate profit from it.

And what skill do they possess to work. Most of them has never set foot in a secondary school.

They already have their own job. They are already entrepreneurs but lack the capital to help them break even. That is what the Tradermoni is providing. They are more productive than most of those useless twitter commentators who waste money buying data to talkdown on people who need peanut to survive.

The problem of this country is the half baked graduates with phones on twitter and NL. Their line of thought is very saddening.
