Dear Phone Gurus,
I have tecno C7 that have been giving me headaches since i started using it. The phone consumes data as if I'm using it do download a community every minute.
I have checked the running apps. I have forced some running apps to stop, still the problem persist.
E.g If i buy 1GB now and keep the phone without browsing ...... My data balance in next 4hrs will be 650mb.


To whomever that will provide a lasting solution to this problem......... Thanks in anticipation!!!!!

1)Turn off auto updates on playstore
2)Look into your data usage from settings you should see the culprit app that's consuming the data
3)try changing your DNs address (the app is on the playstore)
4)try using a VPN (because they change network protocols) so it would affect the way data packets are sent out and in
5) try using tor (connect Bridges) not a good solution but works sometimes
6) your OS might be downloading updates (I doubt)
7)disable background data from settings and make sure your apps are optimized conventionally (android 7.0 and up had that feature)
maybe someone used it to do yahoo and sold it to you so his/her private detective is mining data from your phone

Restrict background data usage by app.
Limit your data usage in Android Settings.
Use data compression in Chrome.
Update apps over Wi-Fi only.
Cache Google Maps for offline use.

how do you know all these? I'm impressed

Try using the data saver mode.
