Lagos state is the best and leading state in this country by virtually any parameter.
It's edge above others cuts across education, urbanization, housing, commerce, employment, industrialization, just to mention but a few.
With this current political tsunami sweeping across the country do we expect a paradigm shift from what used to be or the continued domination of the state by the God fathers.
The big players in the governorship race are:
Babajide Sanwo-Olu,
Jimi Agbaje,
Babatunde Gbadamosi and

not because he has shown any exceptional qualities over the past APC governors, but because there is a need to free Lagos from the stranglehold of one man, expose the looting of the past 19 years & re-evaluate the so called development done in the state...


I find it appalling that Lagos earns so much but so little to show for the huge taxes...

Millions of market women and those that don't even know NAIRALAND exists will vote for their candidates on election days.
Many nairaland members don't even have Temporary Voters Card not to talk of Permanent Voters Card

In as much as I agree with your line of thought I think it will be pathetic and a huge let down for Lagosians to allow the state to remain under the grip and authority of one man.

Tinubu's policies fall in line with what majority of lagosians (voters) want. Let us put sentiment aside even though I am not his fans

It's bad that majority of voters are poorly informed and will vote for candidates that offer them monetary incentives. Some have even said they will vote for candidates they see their billboards and posters everywhere who happen to be Sanwo Olu but the informed ones seem to stand with wrestling Lagos from the grip of Tinubu.
I don't know your opinion about this but I very much feel that's the way to go. #Endtogodfatherism in Nigerian politics.

That sounds interesting.
The result we are seeing here is exactly what I saw in another online poll elsewhere. I put up this to know if they weren't kidding and it has just being reproduced.
However, you really made sense in your opinion of Tinubu unlike what I heard elsewhere where people didn't even know why they wanted Sanwo Olu. They seemed to be merely flowing with the tide. Others sited reasons such as sighting Olu's posters everywhere and all that nonsense. Non did justice to the reason behind their choice of candidate like you've done.

I love your valid points specially your last statements. That's the way to go. Nigerians need to form the habit of voting out any poorly performing candidate.
