Uncle, he lost! Quit your obsession with the Igbos because South Africa’s Soweto Gospel Choir is just outstanding.

What positive impact are the Kutis making apart from promoting unprotected sex and smoking Indian hemp as seen at the Shrine?

No Need to be sorry Let's not allow inferiority complex take all over our mind ... Seun kitu you're a good Artist& unique. You mustn't win the Grammy to prove your Worth. Who made the Grammy Awards the Biggest Award in the world? themselves it's the Americans, Grammy started like any local Award of a country before it get's to this level it's. But our artists and fans feel that without Grammy they're not yet Good enough it's a big big lie.

I don't think someone like John legend, R. Kelly, usher, Nikki minaj, Chris brown, 21 savage, J cole etc will even travel down to Nigeria if they're Nominated for the Headies.
We African should learn to have the mind of our own and Always acknowledged ourselves.. The way you carry yourself is definitely the way anybody will see you.

celebgistz2:
Afrobeat artist, Seun Kuti has failed in his bid to bring home the Grammy awards losing out to South Africa’s Soweto Gospel Choir.

On Sunday night, the 36 year old and son of late Fela Anikulapo Kuti lost outvin the ‘World Music Award’ category at the 2019 Grammys.

Nominated for his 2018 released album, ”Black Times”, Seun Kuti lost to South Africa’s Soweto Gospel Choir who grabbed their third Grammy Awards for the album ”Freedom”, in a category that had the likes of Bombino from Niger, Mali’s Fatoumata Diawara and Soviet’s Yiddish Glory.

The choir had previously emerged as Grammy Winners in 2007 and 2008.

The son of the Legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti was hoping to make it a lucky five time for the Kuti family after his older brother Femi Kuti, who was nominated on four occasions but failed to win any.

Femi was nominated in 2003, 2010, 2012 and in 2014 for his album ‘No Place For My Dream’.

Another Nigerian who has also been nominated in the past is King Sunny Ade, who got the nod twice in 1983 and 1988.

Seun Kuti should know that International bodies are no fools.

They watch celebrity behaviour and mannerism.

Seun Kuti snubbed the French President Mr Macron by deliberately absenting himself from the event organised in the year 2018 in Lagos that was attended by the French President to honour his late father, Fela Anikulakpo Kuti for his musical contributions towards entertainment and global development.

Current governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode hosted the French President with the presence of Femi Kuti, the late Fela senior son but Seun Kuti was noticeably absent from that important event. Which was more important? An event meant to honour his late father whose legacies he now stands and feed from? or the show he was invited to perform in the USA?

No doubts, it is well known fact that Seun Kuti had disagreement that historically date back some years with his senior brother Femi Kuti who was the key organizer of the program that was scheduled to honour the father. Somehow, Seun Kuti feel less disposed and less happy to be part of the event but preferred to attend musical shows in USA as at that time of President Macron 's visit.

But snubbing an International figure like the French President to spite your estranged brother especially at an event meant to honour your father was a sour grapes too bitter to sip.

Fela Anikulakpo Kuti, your father was a man you took after his afro beat music of which your father legacies have driven you from a PETTY STREET BOY and WEED SMOKER to an internationally recognized afro beat musician.

President Macron valued your father musical legacies and his contribution to art and entertainment hence he had to fly all the way from Paris France to commission projects in Fela 's name and above all honour the EBAMI EDA himself Afro beat singer Late Fela Anikulakpo Kuti.

In a nutshell, International bodies use all this to judge music artists before rating and given award.

It is not just how good a musicians music is but good behaviour, mannerism etc equally counts.

And Jaguda boy like Seun fell into this snare or trap.

Noise makers!

VERY RICH “noisemakers” cheesy

Is the validation of the MILLIONS of people who love and pay (directly or indirectly) for their music really any less valid than the validation of the small group of people who cast Grammy votes? Meanwhile, Fela was never nominated. Another noisemaker perhaps?
