Ladi Adebutu's group crumbling as legal adviser resigns


The camp of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, on Tuesday suffered a huge blow as the Legal Adviser of his PDP faction, Barrister Tunde (Aremo) Adesanya, resigned his appointment.

Barrister Adesanya's resignation came 24 Hours after the Supreme Court struck out an appeal instituted by the LADO group, thus authenticating the Bayo Dayo-led executive.

In a letter posted on social media on Tuesday, Barrister Adesanya thanked the Sikirulai Ogundele PDP group for giving him the opportunity to serve.

The letter reads in part, "This is to inform you of my official resignation from the PDP of your group with immediate effect for personal reasons.

"While thanking you for the opportunity to serve as the State Legal Adviser during the turbulent period of the party and especially your personal leadership.

"I wish you all well."

On February 2, Otunba Gbolahan Nowoola (factional party chairman in Ijebu Ode) resigned his appointment and dumped the group.
On the same day, Dr. Yemi Oke (a one-time lead counsel to Adebutu ) declared in a statement that Adebutu had lost the battle for Ogun State PDP governorship ticket.
