John Bray, US Consul General, Lagos has urged Nigerians to come out and vote tomorrow 16th of February 2019.

The US consul General spoke in Pidgin English. He advised Nigerian men and women to go with their PVCs and vote their chosen candidate and not to see the elections as war

A Nigerian Twitter user, DaddyMO PhD CEng @officialdaddymo, blasted him for his 'poor Pidgin'.

This is rubbish, we speak English and not pidgin English. They teach us English in school not this crap. My parents used to punish me for speaking pidgin English, so I definitely have a problem with the white man trying to speak it as if it's our official language. Foreigners all think the moment they add "O" to the end of a sentence, it automatically makes them fluent in pidgin English.
