Nigerians should stop giving these white pawpaw attention. They care less about true development of this nation. Our language that we call not correct is what Oyinbo man dey take address us with out shame. I think we should embrace pidgin English as our national language that they can be used to teach all subjects in our schools. A nation that has not their own language but only official language which is a foreign language.

If you are so adamant to prove that only the perfectly constructed English language prose of an Oxford or Cambridge graduate should be acceptable as a means of communication in West Africa, try out your theory by utilizing that pompous lecturers' verbosity, with armed soldiers or police at a checkpoint, on a dark night along a desolate road in Africa.

I'm amazed you took your time to write all that. I'm on no high horse and there's no reason why an average Nigerian wouldn't understand him in English. He isn't giving a speech but a straight forward 3 sentence message. Heck even the president addresses the nation in English so why can't this guy? Besides his target audience are young people in Twitter, I don't your uneducated or non English speaking would be sifting through the US ambassador's Twitter page for anything that has to do with the elections anyway.
