For such Loyalty Abe gave Amaechi from the day they decamped from PDP. Amaechi should have known better to give these few loyalist's the best of all opportunities in the party because Rivers PDP was and is still very strong in the SS and was to become the strong point and foundation for the rebirth and rejuvenation of PDP nationwide.
However the Amaechi I know is full of pride. His cover has been his Godfather (Odili) from when he was Odili's PA to his movement to the RSHA when opposition was minimal and he led them like a bigot. And onto the period when he became a Governor when this Pride begat another "evil child" => Vengeance against his "K-Leg" conspirators.
Otherwise why will a "gentleman Abe" and loyalist now become Amaechi's Albatross?
And just like Abe said...The PDP they left will gladly cash in on this.

A senior Rivers state politician told me, since last year, that Amaechi and Wike are working together for Wike to get an easy 2nd term!

He said confidently that they are both playing "Ikwerre politics" (they are both indigenes of Ikwerre) and that he (Amaechi) fooled both Magnus Abe and Tonye Cole regarding the APC governorship bid. He said that the mutual insults between Wike and Amaechi in the newspapers and at campaign grounds were all a deliberate ruse! Fake!

Amaechi told his closest boy, Dakuku Peterside, and he (Peterside) fully faced his job as NIMASA DG and refused to make any move regarding the 'fake APC candidacy'.
