Wake up from your slumber. Atiku is never getting there talk less of reinstating Onnoghen
Awol1:
Onnoghen has become a bone in the throat for Buhari and APC.

If anything, his ordeal has made bench anti-APC as evidence in their free fall at courts.

Las las, Atiku will reinstate him when he becomes President.

He should have called it quits instead of this humiliation

Oga ignorance is not an excuse before the law, means when you are to be judged in a court of law, ignorance is an excuse to commit a crime.

Even Justice Danladi himself clearly stated that the CCT is not a Judicial court of law of the judiciary and hence he is not subject to the judiciary but is a tribunal under the CCB which is directly under the presidency....

Someone sent a petition to CCT about an alleged crime, the onus however is for the CCB to be engaged in first establishing that a crime has been committed.

The first will have been to invite onnoghen to verify that the assets are his, if he admits that they are his - because a man can increase in networth - that isn't a crime, then he will be asked to update his asset declaration with proof of legitimacy attached.

If they now investigate his updated and he is found wanting, then the CCT will be invited to trial him. That is what the law requires.....
Since you know better than even the CJN, oya go tell the embattled CJN not to go to the tribunal nau. This is how people like you were quick to take sides and spill trash that the President cant suspend the CJN, but he has been suspended since and even NJC and all the Supreme court judges + Senate couldn't save him.

No need wasting precious time with your likes because your sentiments always overwhelm your sense of reasonings

The suspended CJN thinks he is above the law. It takes the threat of s bench warrant to make him appear in person at the CCT shame on you old man

If this idīot had quietly resigned and gone home it would hve been better for everyone involved. Now APC will jail him, or if PDP comes in they will like to set him free and their administration will carry the taint of corruption from the get-go. . .

Guy man don humble.

In a more serious note, it is good to see him do the right thing. The CJN has no immunity. He is not above the law. He should simply defend himself of all the charges leveled against him. If he’s not guilty, the CCT will set him free. All we want is for justice to be done at the end of the day.

We must also appreciate the current administration for taking the fight against corruption to the highest level. For the first time in history, we have a government that actually took the senate president, CJN, SGF, NSA, and immediate past service chiefs to court. We need to build on this going forward. There must be no sacred cow when issues of criminality is on the table.
So for you, this is what it is all about. Oppressing other arms of government all in the name of fighting corruption when the real thieves are within your circle....

Weldon sir. Continue, it will go full circle.

what is this for goodness sakes

those who think buhari is fighting corruption should get thier head checked. this is dictstorship.

funny thing is he has set a presidence
the judiciary is now firmly at the mercy of the executives.

of course idiots will be happy about this
Understandably. In PDP dictionary, corruption is democracy hence, fighting corruption is dictatorship. Typical PDP brain

Am not surprised....It is only in Nigeria that political and highly placed THIEVES are adored and shielded with legal jargons all in a bid to circumvent prosecution....As a matter of fact, It is expected of an highly placed individual...Head of a country's Judicial Institution for that matter to have honourably resigned his position immediately he admitted doing what had been alleged of..... Doing so, would publicly restore the confidence of judicial institution without hampering due process that would follow suit immediately....
hardbody:
You have a porous understanding of due legal process, if at all.

Steps are required to be taken to even convict an accused murderer caught in the act. Even an admission of guilt does not preclude the process of trial. Nigerian, or rather majority of them are so dumb. There are steps to be taken where a public officer admits an errant publication of his assets. Were these taken? The law recognizes motive. What's the motive of bringing this issue up, fast tracking it days before election tribunal judges are appointed?

I am only interested in due process and equity. Did the president declare his assets? Are all other Nigerians accused of corruption already purged? What is fair is fair. I am neither interested in Buhari or Atiku. They are both incompetent to lead a man with my brain power.

Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that you don't know the different between " Witch Hunt " and fighting Corruption. So you call chasing after your opponents and those you consider a threat "fighting corruption" ?
Out off the people you listed how many have been convicted?

Mention Just on.

Like your president resigned severally over school certificate failure. I recall he retained a battery of SANs. Like Buratai resigned over his houses at Dubai.

Due process is for all not for a chosen few

Thank you Mr SAN.....You should have voluntarily nominated yourself to be part of his legal team.....Its not too late, you can still help him out with your legal prowess and advise not to honour the next adjournment date, since they didn't follow the right process according to you. A thief was caught and admitted...what other process do you need other than to wilfully resigned and allow prosecution to take its course....
