What Is The Difference Between 120 Christians And 2 Billion Christians by Nobody: 10:32am On Feb 19, 2019
At the inception of the church , 2000 years ago, it took only 120 Christians from the upper room to take their gospel out to the known world which they then turned upside down for their Jesus.

"Acts 17:6 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too."

These early believers healed the sick and the lame ; gave sight to the blind, restored hearing to the deaf and speech to the mute; people were converted with huge signs and wonders following;these Christians gave it their all, scarified luxury and the vanities of this world to follow Jesus. They expected the imminent arrival of Jesus and so worked tirelessly to bring in more converts. There were no needy people among them ; they all had accommodation, bills were paid and food was guaranteed. The preachers were the least among the brethren because they gave all up for the body of Christ.



Fast forward to 2000 plus years later , and over 2 billion Christians, and we see a different situation which is truly astounding and mind boggling.

These modern believers cannot heal the sick or the lame; the blind are still blind, the deaf are still deaf, the mute are still mute and despite the exponential growth in the number of believers there are no huge signs and wonders following. The modern Christians do not sacrifice luxury and the vanities of this life for Jesus; on the contrary they chase after these vanities like there is no tomorrow. The church is packed full of the needy and their numbers keep growing while the preachers of the gospel are the greatest and wealthiest.

- Christians what happened ?
- Why are modern Christians so weak and powerless ?
- Why is that , the Christian population is booming but moral standards are lowering rapidly ?
- Why are there more needy people in the church than there has ever been ?
- Why is the world being destroyed from inside out , instead of upside down for Jesus ?

I have a lot to write on this. I will only summarise in few sentences.

The Holy Spirit is responsible for ALL THE MIRACLES done by any child of God.

Now,

Many live in sin and the Holy Spirit does not live in a dirty vessel.

Prayers of many (not all) are empty, they are glued to the ceiling of their churches.

In all,

We live in a very dangerous times. If majority of the christians are powerless,

It is indeed a VERY DANGEROUS TIME.

For Full demonstration of God's power,

The church has to go back to the source ..THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Note the word "holy "

We must purse Holiness.

Else,

It will be everybody for himself. The world for themselves,

And individual child of God for himself. This is how people live in dangerous times,

All Man For Himself.

If I can't save hundreds from the dangers of hell,

I will try to save my immediate family.

If this is not possible,

I try to save myself.

"If I cast out demons by THE SPIRIT OF GOD.. then the kingdom of God has come to you "

Demons are responsible for the situations of the world. They work subtle and unnoticed through the MIND OF MEN.

Yes.

The inhabitants of the world think they are incharge of their actions.... But they are wrong.

So demons have turned the world upside down just like it was before Jesus came.

What do we do then?

We need to cast them out... The demons caused sickness, diseases, deaths, hatred, sexual perversions, etc.

The church needs to cast them out just like Jesus did.

Jesus did that by the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD.

Note the word "holy".

Is the church holy?

Many that should cast out demons are afraid of demons themselves. Because the demons made them afraid.

A church without the full presence of the spirit of God is powerless.

@ the world,

Until the children of God locate their missing position in Jesus,

For your information, What frosbel2 quoted from the book is still happening exactly as it appears in the book! Jehovah's Witnesses{true Christians} are doing just so that's why they're been vilified by all other religious groups just as it's found in the WRITTEN documents.
So if you choose to ignore facts it's OK but know that millions are waking up to notice what was written in those books as reality and they're adjusting their thoughts unlike your folks who keep criticizing obedience yet trying to spew your thoughts into the air for others to do what with it? cheesy cheesy cheesy

It is quite hilarious.


An average atheist , especially in Africa goes from being a member of a strong Christian family to be an atheist. 80% do this to break free and do the things their flesh has so longed for that "worldly" people do .

At first they are just glad to be "free" but as time progresses, they are faced with the reality of being atheist. Rejection from family , friends , loved ones and even partners.
That feeling of freedom begins to turn into deep hatred and anger and with that hatred they create thread after thread nitpicking and finding fault in every little thing about Christianity just to tear it apart. Nitpickers , only succeed in one thing though- being more bitter and angry as the day goes by.

Frosbel2 darling, I'm surprised you quoted the book of acts and actually spoke well of the apostles themselves . Please tell me which kind of atheism is this one again because I'm as confused with your stance as when I read threads written by does new age guys.

The church is not powerless, but faithless. This are two different thing. When the apostles asked Jesus why they failed to cast out demons? Jesus simply said, "it is because of your unbelief."

The church is Holy for Christ Jesus is our sanctification. But from now on, we are equally full of faith.
