The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Atiku Abubakar has said that he will sell the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to Nigerians if elected as President.

He rubbished reports that he intends to sell the NNPC to himself and his friends.

The Presidential candidate made this clarification during a meeting with leaders from the grassroots in Kaduna state.

He, however, insisted that the corporation will be sold to Nigerians for the development of the country.

“They keep saying ‘Atiku wants to sell NNPC to himself and his friends. That is a lie!”

“They don’t want us to sell NNPC but we will sell it. We will sell it to you. Will you buy?” he queried.

His question was greeted with a shout of ‘yes’ from the crowd.

Why is Atiku disturbing himself? PMB already had said he was going to sell some FG properties accross the country before the outcry but it's a norm. FG will always be selling FG properties . It is meant for journalists and the relevant agencies to expose who they really are sold too.

NNPC will eventually be privatised (I hate the word sold as used in this context), Nigerians don't just trust Atiku or PDP to be the ones handling the process.
