The exhaust is apparently one of the least conspicuous objects in all of the images posted. I just wonder why that formed the core basis of this poorly constructed and incomprehensible comment.

Your take that is! The discerning know what that sort of exhaust condition indicates about the car engine! Not strange for an individual to view a statement as poorly constructed and incomprehensible so long as he cannot appreciate same.

What a way to market a product for sale! I have an advise for you. When responding to or making posts on the internet always bear in mind that the internet NEVER forgets and your posts will someday be used to profile your personality. Better to make responsible posts.

Nothing wrong in him attacking you. You didn't even give a constructive criticism on what you think is wrong. You can't come online and mouth things without giving facts to back it up.

An exhaust can be black or whatever and have sendiments. And that can mean a million things not related to engine malfunction or breakdown.

Nairaland and her funny ‘car gurus and pricing analysts’.

Buying this car is not a do or die affair guys.
Serious minded people have been calling... probably without getting things complicated on NL comment section.

You can schedule inspection with your mechanic - buying is optional - ‘NL car professionals’ can continue ranting all they want.
Person wey wan buy motor know wetin to do.

I care less.

Friend, I merely raised a poser about the exhaust of the advertised car whereupon the op and his storm trooper launched a blitzkrieg at me! They abused me to no end!! If an advertiser does not want posers raised about the advertised item that falls far short of advertising best practices and itself raises a red flag! Africans have not come far enough largely because we are unduly sentimental about things. I wonder how raising an objective poser about an advertised item amounts to demarketing.

Digital advertising cuts the distance needed to be travelled in negotiating and purchasing an item by as much as fifty per cent! If I can eyeball the quality of an item sought to be sold and receive proactive response from the advertiser merely by assessing the digital presentation of the item it should obviate the need for a physical examination until the point of exchange. Years back a fellow Nairalandder put up a Mitsubishi Gallant for sale here and the digital presentation warranted a few posers but I was African in my appraisal and said nothing only to arrive Lagos from the State I live in to have my worst fears about the car confirmed! I have, over the years, bought units of Powerbank from Just2endowed who in the course of negotiations and purchase answered my posers without being abusive - just bought another unit from him last month. Business is not about sentiments but objective appraisal.
And just two more from him days ago. I poked him in making enquiries and he was not offended.

Nope! Am not being negative!! Friend, I merely raised a poser about the exhaust of the advertised car whereupon the op and his storm trooper launched a blitzkrieg at me! They abused me to no end!! There is nothing personal about this.

Oga, na this your plenty grammar dey tire me.
This should be my 4th post on the thread, and never ever insulted you.

If you noticed something about the car, say it in plain terms.
The so-called exhaust isn’t even clear in the image sent, and sincerely didn’t notice anything a ‘professional’ like you would have noticed.

For instance: If a red exhaust connotes a damaged ejector system - say it in plain terms rather than forming one Mr. Perfect or Mr. Know-it-all or Mr. Grammar.

For me, I am just an end user that wants to sell off an old car that served me well for 3 years to the best bidder.

As best as I know, and for long that I have used it, I’ve never had engine or exhaust issues - those that have bothered to call have been intimated on the minor issues that needs to be fixed (basic body work and servicing the legs, fan belt etc).

So you don't come on a thread and make vague comments. Be precise with your narratives...if factual, you could also be enlightening the seller too... Which isn't a bad thing.
We all learn every day.

You also need to learn how to construct your sentences... Using verbose terms and complicated arrangement/choice of words doesn't make you the best spoken person, you only make yourself the worst communicating member of the discussion.

Keep it plain and simple...that always wins... Go ask those writing IELTS.

No pun intended.

I think I need to comment on this price thingy biko.

1. I never mentioned anywhere that I got this car for 700k. (See attached image on what you are all wrongly referencing).

2. In 2016, a poorly used corolla was selling from 800k (and scarce still) while a decently used civic was readily available from 700k. And thats what I was clearly stating.

The civic I got then was better than just 'decent' and got it for a very fair price far higher than the 700k initially referenced.

3. The same corolla that probably sold for 800-900k in 2016 now currently sells for 1m-1.2m
Same applies to the civic - as a decent Nigerian used civic 06/08 now sells from 800k-1m unlike in 2016 when they sold from 700k.
Point is, there has been an appreciation in car prices within the last 3 years...and those who know clearly understand this fact...and this cut across all cars.

4. Finally, cars are sold based on valuation.
Every valuation report has two values (prices):
a. Market value: current market price of the car based on its current condition and comparing with price of other cars in same condition.
b. Forced sale value: the distress sale value of the car... Quick quick Sharp sharp sale.
Trust me, the price pegged on this car is fair enough for the value of the car...check the entire online market (NL, JIJI, OLX, etc) and you'll see the average price of used civics...the fact I decided to reference previous communications on this car from 3 years back doesn't make it any less valuable...
I hope this clears things up a bit *winks*

young man don't get on my nerves ...I can see you modified this earlier post just to justify your ignorance ....If we talk of profiling then you would be profiled as vindictive and someone who does not take corrections .....

Simple question ....have you seen the car in question and made your clarifications on a first hand basis ....if no then shut your trap.....how can you judge an engine from an exhaust pipe that is already further darkened from the shadow of the car in the pix....I have said b4 I do not know the moniker n I do not support people been ripped off ....but don't come here making assumption's with out facts ....that said allow the seller sell his car in peace .

Your presumptuous and abusive tendencies are legendary. Decent minds don’t use abusive and foul language on others. You appear incapable of decent conversation even where you disagree with the other person! I will not forget to remind you to make responsible posts especially given that the internet never forgets! Folks following up on our conversation can reasonably profile your persona by now!
