It is no news that the entire plan of Atiku for Nigeria and our economy has now boil down to Selling 90% of NNPC and other National Assets like the Railway, Port Authority, etc to Private Operators and Investors.

I find it very surprising that many are not weighing the impact and implications of handing over 70% Nigeria's revenue sources to Atiku's Friends and Partners.

Here are some of the Implications and fallout of Atiku Plan:
1. Revenue and Monthly Allocations to the 36 States and FCT will now depend largely on what Atiku and his partners remit to Government.
2. 13% to Oil Producing States will vanish as the new Oil producers will now be Atiku's selected Investors.
3. States and National Budget will depend on our 10% stake in NNPC, what the new Owners remit and funds generated from other revenue sources.
4. Automatically, Atiku and his Friends will be richer than Nigeria as they will own 70% revenue source of Nigeria.
5. Federal Government infrastructural development and welfare programmes will now be at the mercy of Atiku and Friends.

I strongly believe what we need in establishments like the NNPC, NPA, Customs, FIRS, etc is to block waste, ensure efficiency, engage qualified personnel to run them, continue the Single Treasury Account implementation and use the funds judiciously for critical project development - Rather than hand it over to Atiku and his Friends Plc.

NOTE: Atiku is not proposing allowing other players in the sector like was done in the Telecomm. Rather he want to sell 90% of the NNPC and Government will only retain a 10%. Also NNPC is not only about Refineries.

What we need in NNPC is to appoint capable hands in managing the corporation, have them remit the proceeds (like we have now with TSA) and then use the money appropriately.

What Atiku want to do is sell it for a one big sum. Once we finish squandering the money in a year or 2, Nigeria will now be at the mercy of Atiku and Friends Plc.

Has there ever being a month the state govts don't complain about NNPC and her shady deals?
Do you know how much Buhari and Baru make every month from NNPC and their fraudulent 'under recovery?' The corruption Buhari and Baru are superintending at NNPC will blow your mind off when it's finally revealed.

First, Do you know that Nigeria for over twenty years, have been ruled running most of these organizations at a deficit?

How can you be paying salaries at Ajeokuta steel industry without production, or for low output? Same with NNPC, it takes money, but doesn't do anything. That's the major reason why we go abroad to refine crude oil.

How will the masses benefit?? Has any of you that support Atiku even ask what he'll use the money for? He'll sell, the money will be swallowed, we'll now be totally left with nothing. Also this FG has consistently given all states their allocations. Why not ask states and LG what they do with their allocation?

God bless you, all we need is for NNPC to be run well. When it's private, their sole purpose is for themselves and the stake holders not the masses. I'm not sure how people don't understand this. Some people will get incredibly rich, no doubt, but the rest will become their beggers. People use Petrobras as an example, meanwhile that organization is still pretty much state owned. I think the government still owns about 60%. The nitel privatization ppl keep citing also is wrong. Licences were sold, they allowed more players in the game. It wasn't the sale of NITEL that paved way for GSM. The way Dangote is building a refinery is the way it should be. Compete with NNPC not sell off a company like that. Let there be more partnerships with the private sector.

If I wake Atiku up from sleep, he should be able to tell me how they intend to spend the money to the last dollar if he has good intentions. When they sell it through some opaque process, that money will be squandered and we'll be left with nothing. Of course again, few people will get incredibly rich and they'll show them off as billionaires they created, billionaires they created basically by sharing the bounty. After that, what happens? We're left with nothing. These guys will make so much money, carry that money out of Nigeria into foreign banks, buy foreign properties and leave Nigerians hanging. This is what they do, we all know this but we want to spite our face by removing our nose.

Atiku supporters, please educate me. What are the plans for the sale of NNPC. How will it be done? What will happen to the money once sold and for how much. Please do not tell me they don't know until they assume office. By now the economists in his team should have this laid out because if not what's he basing his decision on??

It is most likely he may have collected advance, got favour, support and endorsements and donations due to the plan to auction whatever he can if elected. That will explains why it is the only thing he keep repeating as if his life depends on it.

Thank God we were able to save NNPC from those crooks.
