Does The Role Of A Parent/ Guardian Stop After Education?? NO!!!!! by ebuka10box(op): 9:41am On Jan 11, 2019
I thought about this topic and decided to share your views and opinion. Most parents and guardians feel they have done more than enough when the child is out of school(graduate),so they leave the child to fend for himself /herself. This is very wrong and parents should please have plans for their children after university life. The educational system here in Nigeria is dead, nowadays skill and talent pays more than education. Parents should never compare their era with ours cause you can't compare the labour force in the 90's and now .There were many vacant jobs back then ,even heard of tea workers back then who are senior staffs in prolific companies right now . Have you ever asked yourself why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer , planning is the answer. These rich ones while in position pave way for their children while in office and make other means for their children to meet up in life. Never feel proud to help your child even if it means begging where help is gonna come from. I have seen a dad who came begging my boss on behalf of his son and his son definitely got a spot. In the Nigerian society ,there is noting like man-up except you want your child to join a gang or the yahoo squad. Past years ,the rate of rituals, yahoo, corruption and depression wasn't high cause we felt things were a lot easier and the labour force wasn't much but right now there are many graduates who are depressed and really wished their parents left something in stock for them. Education doesn't make a man,it's an opportunity to make a man. Don't leave that child hanging ,show the child the way and it doesn't stop at educational financing. We are Africans and we believe in the 'God Go Do Am'syndrome,God won't do anything if you dont show working . If Uche had a miracle job if miracle jobs really exist, you and Uche carry different grace . To all the job seekers out there,it's gonna be fine and parents don't abuse your child if he or she hasn't arrived . Make life sweeter for that child!!!! Insults are accepted sha!!!

The opposite is the case in today's society where folks hope to pop out and then feed of their kids. I tell people it doesn't matter whether you marry when young or old, the most important thing is that you live a legacy for your kids.
As expected, I don't think Lalasticala or Mynd44 will see this.....

The only thing is that we over emphasized education and school grades without paying any attention to entrepreneurship and skill acquisition.

By and large if a parent is able to train u and u become a graduate, they have done enough, anything in addition is Jara you should go and get a life let the parents plan their retirement.

It's a privilege to be trained up to a graduate by your parents and not your right. If they do more for u na jara

What da fuq do you mean by it's a privilege. Did we beg them to have us. The right word here is responsibility not privilege.

Sense of entitlement will kill you. It's their responsibility to fend for u until 18yrs. After 18yrs u become an adult and it's your responsibility to fend for yourself. Point of correction parents didn't bring u to this world, God did.

Now sending you to school by your parents was a privilege and not a right, they could have chosen to send u to learn mechanic, tailoring, shoe making, trading, capentery, farming or anything to help u fend for yourself.

U better stop sounding like u are senseless.

It's only in Nigeria that you see adults over 25yrs being completely dependent on their parents.

Ur parents will not kill themselves for you, remember they had parents too

You and your generations unborn are the ones that are senseless.
What the Bleep do you mean by God brought us into the world. How does two folks having sex and popping out equate to God bringing us into the world. It's a pity your mentality is archaic.
I know folks like you, you give birth to about 4, 5 kids, train the first one. And then ignore the remaining for the first born to take care off.

Besides if my parents will not kill their selves for me, then why should I kill myself for them. Or haven't you seen folks like the almajiris who pop out, place a tray on the kid's head to go and hawk.

That you were ignored by your mom at a motherless babies' home, doesn't give you the right to come here and spill rubbish.

U talk like a child that lacks home training and proper upbringing I mean someone frustrated in life.

Secondly your ability to comprehend English language is poor. I don't really dignify idiots like u with my reply.

Get someone to interpret my posts to u and be blessed with the wisdom there in.

An adult like u is still looking for a parent to feed your lazy ass better go n work cheesy

Parents taking care of a child after 18 years is a privilege not a right or responsibility bc at 18yrs u are an adult. Peace. Don't bother quoting me I won't engage a dead brain like u further.
