GEJ won ekiti in 2015, so by losing Ekiti in 2019, atiku is already in deficit & needs to win in 2 states GEJ lost to APC in 2015 just to even up the scores.

Kwara was supposed to be in the bag for Atiku thereby seizing a former APC territory which would have helped counter the expected margin of losses in places like gombe & kebbi. the smaller key PMB states.

then kwankwaso, lamido & tambuwal were supposed to help close the margins in Kano, Jigawa & Sokoto to such an extent that the total number of votes for PMB in those areas would be irrelevant in the bigger scheme of things...
