Allow a psychologist talk to the eleven year old and you may be in for a shocker, especially if an adult influence is suspected (the reason the police may be charging for murder and not manslaughter)

The Police... just like sooo many others..... swallow without chewing.
11 year old boy throws baby into the well.....did he?...yes he did.... ok...he must be charged for murder... investigation closed. Was he told to do so by his parents/relatives? Was that investigated? Most likely the boy was following instructions.

I'm trying to picture an 11 year old in my head...his sense and all.

Might have just been childish foolishness and no real intent to kill...

But it's just really hard towing that line. The innocent baby is gone forever! cry

Did he do it deliberately or in error?

Why are some parents always giving their kids off to others to care for? I am sure the 11yr old was left to look after the 1yr old. If you know you cannot pay for good adult supervision and give your child attention please don’t have them. Kids can be evil too and worse is that they don’t really understand the consequences of their actions.

Taking care of a little child is a big task for an adult not to talk of a Young child.

First, the court has no right to judge the boy.

He is not fit to stand trial based on his age.

Its just that Nigeria is a failed country.

There are ways such capital offence committed by minors are handled.

What the boy did is bad.
Maybe the boy is a house help was has been mistreated all through his stay there and choose to pay his madam back.
May be he was playing with the child and mistakenly throw him in the well.
May be he did that internationally.
May be he has mental challenge and ppl around failed to recognize it.
a whole lot of MAY BE!

Some times, parents also have a way to contribute to wat the child has done,

Let me give u an instance, my neighbor wife is a very sarcastic person and seeing the child alone will tell u once dat she feeds the little kids about negative information, so few days ago d kid came knocking on my cousin door and when my cousin open the door, he asked the little kid to come insde d hux but the kid said no, then why did u knock on the door, the kid was staring at two directions 1 at the mother who was standing at a hidden coner whole he was also staring at me, ok kid come in side, he was just standing there smiling and saying no looking at his mother and turning at my cousin, I was behind my cousin while this was occuring, I just told my cousin to close the door infact told him not to ever know or bang at his door again,

So the moral of this story is parent contribute to the attitude of a kid behavior, from my story it was obvious the mother has told the kid some negative stuff about my cousin, same goes to the op story,

A child brain is like a plain slate, if u see a child who doesn't greet then dat is what the parent encoded on his brain, if u see a child that is always angry, check the parents and also check who the child is throwing the vexation on, and check how the parents of the kid interact with the other kid

We're quick to jump to conclusions demonizing the 11 yr old. It may be a matter of recklessness and not deliberate. The story said it happened while "carrying the child around". My theory is the child must have been left in the care of the boy and the boy must have been playing with the child carelessly. I've seen little children do silly things just to make a child giggle. Investigate very well and you'll see the mother of the child is the type that have turned every little kid in the compound to a baby sitter.

Right. Doesn't appear intentional.. The story said it happened " while he was carrying the baby around". Sounds like an accident or carelessness.
