So what is your problem here? I don't even yet understand why your brought up Arnold's issue in the first place. He was an entertainer and failed as governor and so what? Full time politicians fail too.

Trump got many votes from educated people as well. You can't tell me everyone who voted for Trump were uneducated. The difference in popular vote count was just about 3 million. Is that your definition of "overwhelming" in a country of over 300 million people? Besides what Americans call uneducated is not the same as the average uneducated man in Nigeria. Nigerian's kind of uneducated citizens is just terrible. Whether it is Clinton or Trump the fact remains that Americans are far more educated than Nigerians which reflects in their better quality of life. Lack of education is affecting Nigeria badly and you are busy trying to prove that education doesn't matter. Are you okay?

There are white folks who cannot read and write English, they can only speak it..... sounds unbelievable but very true.....a kin to some Yoruba Peeps who can only speak the language but cannot read and write it.

More LGA won't increase our population up north or down south. The south only need to do more of awareness in respect to voters apathy and ability to analyse political issues without sentiment as to religion and tribal affiliation.
NB: as long as any one from the north of Fulani/Hausa ethnic group or Islamic belief is painted to be evil, there will always be revolt vote by the north just because they think majority of the south hate them due to their religion or tribal affiliation.

My verdict on more Local governments is based on the fact that most people around here suffered during the time of registration and didn't want to suffer the same fate when it was time to vote. Imagine a scenario where you have to spend about 45 mins (on wheels) just to get to your Local government, and those that have no cars spent time and money plus the stress on the queue just to get their PVCs

Reading and writing is not all what education is all about. Education also has to do with your ability to make good judgments and this is exactly the kind of education that many Nigerians lack which affects their quality of life. If Nigerians had this education both Buhari and Atiku wouldn't be anywhere near becoming president.

PU should address that.
I also support more LGA but mine is for ease of administration in connecting with the people and also for revenue generation and allocation.
I really don't see any reason for such in voting population as INEC do take registration exercise to communities also which is also the goal new LGA aims to achieve in this instance

I quite agree with you but the ability to read and write epitomizes being educated.

Nigerian's kind of uneducated citizens is just terrible. Whether it is Clinton or Trump the fact remains that Americans are far more educated than Nigerians specifically by mindset and it reflects in their better quality of life. Lack of education is affecting Nigeria badly and you are busy trying to prove that education doesn't matter. Are you okay?

Stop spewing trash! America's population is 300 million but voting populace is about 235 million. Out of the 235 only about 60% actually voted. So only about 140 million people voted, if you think 3 million is an insignificant amount then you're nuts! Case in point Bush versus Gore year 2000 presidential election in which less than 20,000 votes decided the election. Moving on, I never said education does not matter, I only said it matters less when the people are suffering and hungry, this applies to all aspect of life. For example religion, who is likely to convince a homeless and hungry sinner to repent? A pastor that offers a warm meal and a place to stay while preaching the gospel or a pastor that just preaches the gospel? Yes Americans are more educated than Nigerians but still make the same stupid choices everyday, a large number still have drug and other addictions, a large number still kill themselves violently and people are still starving on the streets. If you think America is all about glamour everywhere then you're delusional. My Arnold and Trump reference is to show that when it comes to voting people will place their immediate physiological needs above common sense. It is why the Great philosopher Aristotle puts pathos(ability to persuade or emotional conviction) over logos(logical reasoning), I'm not just your average Nigerian abroad, I don't get my information from just CNN!

You are kinda right. I was surprised when I noticed that most youths in my area are not familiar with transfer of voters details from one location to another.
I also heard about 17guys collected #4500 to be shared amongst themselves just to vote for a particular candidate, I was like shoo, sey wetin happen.

So you think 40,000 people all flock to one polling unit abi? You're truly unwise
You could help yourself by doing more from the clue I had given.

40000 people in a LG means there must be at least 70 polling units and voting points.

If it takes 1 minute to accredit one person, how long will it take to accredit 750 people in a polling unit?

So difficult to make a Buhari support think objectively. Always result to insult

story!!!

What's Perculiar about the issues you raised here? Don't they apply to the North?

In fact, most northern state are twice as big as the biggest southern states by land mass. If they could still travel around to obtain their PVC, what's stopping you doing same.

Una excuse no go ever finish
