Regarding what happened in 2015 when two enemies-within (Saraki and Dogara) went on to become the greatest impediment to PMB's success, I think Buhari will have learnt the importance of respecting Tinubu's choices even if he does not like it.

Buhari is now a more pragmatic politician and his second term will show this. Buhari would have noted that Oshiomhole's bulldozer style helped him win and will now undertand that one must not be lenient with Nigerian politicians who are themselves dangerous Vipers.

He likely will. Buhari has no time to take chances in his second term. The leaders of the upper and lower house must be men with unwavering loyalty to APC and the President because this is critical to PMB success.

There won't be any gambling because Buhari must play safe totally. Buhari will seek safe hands, first and foremost, and above anything else. He won't be looking to satisfy anyone or zone ahead of his own need to succeed using trusted allies.

Deputy Senate President will go to the SE

Also, let us not forget that the sly Saraki manipulated himself into the seat and would not have been Senate President bar his conniving with PDP and letting Ekweremadu remain deputy SP as part of the deal. No one can get away with such this time.

Amosun has been a Senator before but that was in a different Republic ,under a different President, after which he then left the Senate to become Governor of Ogun State.

He is now going to be a Senator in a new Republic, and in an APC Presidency, as a newcomer. His past stint counts for nothing. He cannot be Senate President. Simple.
