ItsMeAboki:In all honesty, are there Northerners that are well up to current global trends such that if he becomes president, he can bring in some massive economic and technological development to the entire country that can compete with countries like Rwanda or South Africa and give the Giant of Africa refreshing look? Are there? Sincerely speaking, going by the way Buhari has handled this country I am forced to feel there may be none. Buhari made me conscious of the people I share a country with going by his appointments, the ineffectiveness of the economy and security challenges in areas you mentioned and the lopsided corruption fight. Honestly, I am not expecting anything from him in the next 4 years... Except Nigerians get as much as 5 Million jobs (not Npower or Trader money) Besides, you lied about the church demonizing Osibanjo/Buhari. Buhari demonized himself. It will shock you to know o was among those who supported him in 2015... Who made the lopsided appointment by appointing only his kinsmen into sensitive positions? The church or Buhari? Who refused to do anything about the killings by herdsmen? The church or Buhari? Who refused to do something about the economy after millions lost their jobs? The church or Buhari? |

ISLAMBAD:Hopelessness resides in the one who apparently cannot comprehend a simple statement and seems to have conceded his power of logical judgement towards a propensity to instinctively insult at the slightest opportunity. . If only you bothered to apply a little bit of logical deduction you would have noticed that I said Igbos were the FIRST not necessarily the ONLY ones to introduce tribal politics into our polity. Taking that into consideration, your reference to the Sardauna and Awolowo were therefore quite unnecessary; unless of course you can further prove that either of them or any other from their respective tribes preceded the Igbos from being the first to introduce tribal politics in Nigeria. |

futurism:i don't think so, people are getting wiser every day and any attempt to impose northern rule will lead to pure civil war which dangote and his allies wouldn't want. i believe there will be rotation of power between the three ethnic groups because everyone now even the elites want an inclusive government. |

justtoodark:lol... to be honest... just create a thriving economy, booming businesses and industry, power supply.. all those talks will die a natural death.People don't understand igbos... they are just angry for some unknown reasons , they don't hate anyone... but an hungry lion is an angry lion what igbos want is good business environment... they don't even care about where the president comes from. Assuming Buhari made life easy for everyone by ensuring jobs are not lost but supplemented, igbos will even love Buhari beyond the imagination of the Yorubas... we are adventurous in nature. we no dey siddon one place.... I have an igbo friend, just 23... guess what? he has traveled a few african countries, the last was Rwanda and he as decided to move to South Africa. His dream is to travel the world before he dies. That is an igbo man for you. People are crying since Buhari won.. as in, serious cry. Someone told me on yesterday that an Alfa has planned to leave his two wives after opening shops for them cos he is tired. Another mama said she prayed and prayed for Atiku to win so that things can be better. The only sacrifice buhari owe everyone now is to make sure what is lost is recovered... sincerely, people are suffering. |

futurism:i call bullshitt...things was very bad with jonathan....what are you talkin about....?? how come fee dee fee never had the idea to implement something like school feedin,npower,tradermoni....?? all they came up with was stomach infrastructure, practicaly makin all of us to beggars.... they build things and called it ultra modern that they themselves dont even use.... did you noticed that the word ultra modern disappeared lately....?? |
| Re: Southerners Are In Big Trouble ( Pix). by futurism: 1:03am On Mar 02, 2019 |
justtoodark:school feeding, Npower, Tradermoni is what you call good development? bros, are you kidding me or my eyes are deceiving me? See, you can't even compare PDP's first 4 years with APC's... In PDP's first 4 years, people got jobs straight from OND not to talk about BSc... I know a few people who did. One did just OND, got into bank, did part time, upgraded is degree and moved into oil and gas... bros, no let people laugh you. Someone like you will go to Rwanda and say "I am a Nigerian and we are the giant of Africa"... the kind eyes dem go use look you eh... PDP gave more but they allowed the power to get into their head, hence their fall. APC is currently doing same mistake PDP made, at an alarming rate and surely, their death is just around the corner. |

If they like they should trade great standard of living for political dominance that brings poverty to themselves by being manufacturers of human beings. This act will keep backfiring on them. One day when we all get fed up with our rubbish existence, we realise that these too many states have not helped us, only increased the amount of money lost to political thieves, that should have built this nation up and sustained its present and future. That day when we scrap these thirty-six or whatever number it will ever be to only seven geo-political zones or states or provinces, then the presidency will be decided on not who pulls the highest number of votes but who won the highest number of states. It's a pity moslem northerners don't want to learn to live in the the twenty-first century, but soon they will! |
| Re: Southerners Are In Big Trouble ( Pix). by ItsMeAboki(m): 10:45am On Mar 02, 2019 |
futurism:I find the 1st paragraph of your post very naive, stupid and quite insulting; it was as if to say that there are no intellectuals or competent persons among the millions of northerners capable of leading modern Nigeria. If you truly believe that then I am sorry to say that you are an ignorant fool, who apparently mistakenly thinks that education or paper qualification is equivalent to intelligence. We can all recall the last president who was a southerner and also the highest educated to date, a PhD holder; yet the most stupid, who along with his wife PEJ (also a multiple degree holder) successfully turned Nigeria into a laughing stock among the community of nations, with their several embarrassing famous gaffs. If only you understood the true economic determinants of this country then you may not be blaming Buhari but GEJ who mismanaged our economic boom; squandering it and looting it with impunity; he literally participated in the stealing of the yesterday, today and tomorrow of many Nigerians. The seeds of the witnessed recession were not sown by the present administration; that is why Buhari cannot provide the jobs many of you had trained for; because he has far less resources to do so. Nonetheless he has tried to address this problem, among others, with some social development policies targeted at the very poor and less privileged e.g. Tradermoni for market traders and N-power for unemployed graduates; however, some of you are rejecting this opportunity and still insisting on plump white collar office job, out of either laziness or lack of creativity and capacity to adjust to today's realities; instead of accepting this lifeline out of possible poverty and real potential to owning their businesses and being their own bosses. Some of those who grabbed this opportunity have already progressed ahead of the N-Power to the Next Level and on their way of being millionaires as well as employers in their own right; while those who have opted out are still there sitting on the sidelines waiting expectantly for that pre-meditated elusive cushy job and complaining 'Buhari no give me job' - presumably just like you. With regards to appointments, I am yet to see any evidence in which the president allegedly breached any law or the constitution in favour of any region at the expense of another. In any case, where he is deemed to have tilted more to a particular region e.g. the much touted defence appointments which is said to favour the north, he had equally tried to balance that by compensating the other with more appointments in another sector e.g. (until the resignation of Kemi, the former minister of finance) the president's entire economic team was up of southerners. These allegations of lopsided appointments are largely baseless and mere propaganda; however, where there are exceptions the are usually extenuating circumstances for these. |
| Re: Southerners Are In Big Trouble ( Pix). by futurism: 11:16am On Mar 02, 2019 |
ItsMeAboki:My first paragraph isn't out of context... I would have said more but you might find it insulting as opposed to what I may have intended. I am not saying the entire North lacks intellectual but in the current settings of political circles of the North, are there any? I see people pushing Elrufai as the next president... The North had better replace him With someone better. (though I am not surprised based on information available to me; it further confirmed the information on what the North have in stock) He has dented his image. I used to have respect for him during the OBJ era but that seems to have been eroded as late. A Ribadu will better fit for that; that is if the North wants a larger part of the South to vote. Just my suggestion which can be ignored anyway. I am not lazy. As a matter fact I am my own government and I have never worked for anyone since I left school. In the coming months, past mid year, I will be putting finishing touches to my agro-export blueprint to continue from where I stopped. I stopped because I had another business that needed my attention. We have started that, which I will likely leave with my brother to handle delivery while I focus on branding, marketing and customer retention as I travel seeking other opportunities. I don't need to wait for any government... Nigerians are my opportunities and solutions to that if you know what I mean. Buhari can do more than Trader Moni and npower. Stop making silly excuses. He doesn't need use his own money. How did OBJ did it with Telecom? How? Some things are not as complicated as most of you make it look. If you are sincere and you know as much as your write up "portrayed" you to be, you certainly know that Buhari can do more than Trader Moni and Npower. It is not my job to tell you HOW he can do that. We voted for "change" in 2015 for reason... |

I guess Amechi and Akpabio are Hausa/fulani? The problem with most of you is that you just sit at your locality and claim to know it all, enjoy the power and perish in poverty! Almaiga: |
| Re: Southerners Are In Big Trouble ( Pix). by Nobody: 11:52am On Mar 02, 2019 |
OreMI22:Correct. But our intelligent and naive population tend to think the change they seek can be achieved by constitutional reforms. That through peaceful elections they can enthrone the right leadership. They brandish their PVC with pride and exhort the compatriots to ensure they voted. I hope there foolishness can clear someday. |
| Re: Southerners Are In Big Trouble ( Pix). by Almaiga: 12:15pm On Mar 02, 2019 |
galaxi:Poverty indeed, yet your people are all over the North hustling day and night. 60% of your sisters are all over the North doing Ashawo in Brothels. Yet, you claim the North are poor. Tell your people to avoid the North and see if hunger no keee them. We get money, we get power, so deal with it.

futurism:I didn't say your 1st paragraph was out of context but naive, stupid and quite insulting. Yes, you clearly implied there was not even a single northerner in the entire north with the capacity to lead modern Nigeria. Your post reeked of stereotype, bigotry and simply lack of intelligence - which makes continuing such discussion with an intellectually challenged person like you a complete waste of because lack the capacity to understand the finer points at hand. I doubt if you are educated beyond secondary school level and definitely well below par to the Buhari you are criticising. |
