Hello everyone. Please I need your opinion and how to go about this. I applied to visit my husband who was as at then my fiance in September. But was denied based on I didn't have or show ties here in Nigeria.

I am now married and i want to reapply. My husband is Canadian. Pls what and what exactly do u think I should include in my application. I used to work before but I now have my own business that's registered. My husband is my sponsor so do I also need to still show bank my own bank statement? If yes showing how much. Please what do you all think or suggest.

I intend travelling alone but will like to know if applying alone or applying with my husband will give a higher chance Applying alone trumps doing it together for better ties establishment purpose especially if traveling for birthing purposes.

We have friends who can give us invitation letter. Is it better to make hotel reservations or get an invitation letter from a friend? If your finances are exceptionally okay, I will always choose using hotel reservation over an invite

How much should one look at having in the account? Depends a whole lot on your budget, from CAD15-20,000 equivalent for birthing IMO, and somewhere around CAD5-7,000 for visiting/holidaying. Again, it all depends on your purpose of visiting, budget and your finances
Will proof of investment such as treasury bills be a good evidence to put into the application? Yes, good too
What are the documents I will need to make my application solid? Genuinely, this thread is replete with such, part of which you are already listing in this post. Throw everything that ties you to naija and put your finances in better light in....

I have been trying to create an account on the cic site but I am finding it difficult. Can someone take me through the process. What difficulties, have you resolved this now? It takes time some time to set up, but I think this ought to be full of directions

From my little experience, all those highlighted countries are not really regarded as 'travel experience'. Reasons being that you don't go through stringent conditions to obtain their visas. I stand corrected though.

Its not even about thinking. He's been scammed by the agent. Except he's got a dual citizenship one of which must be from countries eligible for the ETA. If he is just a Nigerian by citizenship then he has been scammed and should try not to go near the airport or Canadian embassy coz he risks arrest.

Please for those with PR who have not landed what address do you put that your parents will reside on their trip. I plan to stay with my sister when I land then my MIL will come once we have gotten our place.

From my own observations I don’t think the folks in Kenya know their job because after our 1st refusal using the paper route, we reapplied online and used the exact documents and we were granted the visa.

So, if you have been refused visa via the paper route I think you should re apply online.

I got to find out that if you apply via the paper route, your application goes to Kenya for review and if you go via the online route your application goes to the UK for review. From my own observations I don’t think the folks in Kenya know their job because after our 1st refusal using the paper route, we reapplied online and used the exact documents and we were granted the visa.

So, if you have been refused visa via the paper route I think you should re apply online.

They're just acknowledging your biometrics data and the validity.
Look out for their email. They should be giving you a response on your application soon.

Good evening everyone,please i need answers to this
I submitted my application online last week and done with biometric also,however i submitted the first page and last page of my bank statement because the file was too large,so i just uploaded the first and last page of the 34pages.but i was been told that i haven't submit my statement because with that they cant verify anything.inflow of funds and all that.so i decided to use the online generated acct statement i printed out.so i submitted an online web form from the ircc nd attach the statement also explaining why i have to.while filling the form,was asked where is my application been processed,i have no idea where because i submitted online,however i clicked lagos nigeria since that was where i applied from.then i got a mail from immigration lagos that my application was online and i should refer all my updates and corresponse to my cic.
Now my question is this....did i sent the update to the wrong place?how do i know which visa office is handling my application,what can i do next,i read someone saying online application is been treated in the uk office,should resend the attachment or just leave it. i just want to make sure i submitted all necessary docs,pls house,help me with my questions.... Did the embassy send you an email or who told you?
If it is the embassy, i expect them to provide where the documents would be uploaded.

Greetings guys, I am not exactly new here cos I have been off and on since my first and last visa application for study permit to canada.
I am currently applying for tourist visa to enable me attend a business summit. In my application I made a similar mistake by not stating all previous visa denial, as I had misunderstood the question to mean denials from Canada. Please would this have a negative effect on my application, especially with a visible Italian consolate denial stamp unmentioned on a page in my passport. My application is about 2weeks old now. You better write them and disclose your refusal otherwise you are calling 5 years inadmissible for yourself
