Why the sport is less dangerous than boxing. Thr gloves are lighter so the swings aren't as direct. Then lastly the matches are shorter and refs call fights sooner. The sport is just bloody.

A martial artist is a trained killer if we are honest with ourselves. Fighters should wear more protective gear.
