A 12 Years old J.S.S3 scholar is taking the path of our great Noble Laureate, Wole Soyinka. He taps into his imagination to unveil the irregularities that govern our nation Nigeria.
He is a student of Eagles Educational Centre at Uselu, Benin City and he strongly believes one day Nigeria will find its way to its savannah plains.

Bleached to Bleed

My beloved country,
bleached
The giant of ancestral savannah,
bleached
The golden star of the black legion,
bleached
The emerging economic magnet,
bleached to bleed blood

My beloved country, bed-ridden and sick
Painted and tinted to corruptible gems
Religious disease and political infections
Succumbing to the wind of impecuniosity

Tears of Rape
Trauma of robbery
Pains of unrest, snipers’ firing darts,
sorrow, tears, and blood

But all hope is ours to lust
To right the wrongs
To make straight the crooked lines
All hope we must mine.
