kernel001:Well, here is a little challenge for you, first the igbos are not investors they are hustlers who leaves there towns in search of a greener pasture, its not like you left your community with funds to go and invest on the contrary you come with nothing but a dream of making it. For example all your business tycoons of today made it as a hustler outside of igboland, I will liken your situation to millions of Nigerian youths emigrating to Europe, north America and south Africa in search of a better life so in the event that they make it in this nations do you now boast that without you in there country there economy will fall? Igbos should face the bitter truth that they need Nigeria more than she needs them |

They see this happen and happening in many anti igbo part of the north yet doubt it. How hard of learning Nigerians can be. |

lexyking:I love your analysis. Creating business opportunities is the expertise of the Igbos. Foreign investors does these things 1. Create employment opportunities 2. Pay tax 3. Develop the Society Advanced societies lure people with special talents and gift that will help improve there economy, example Footballers, golfers, doctors and investors. Because these gifts brings money into the economy. Igbos create business opportunities, provide jobs, build the society and pay their tax. Example... Each time Igbos travel for Christmas, economic activities nationwide is down. If Igbos should leave, the GDP of Lagos will drop immediately, unemployment will set in. They have the highest number of SMEs in Nigeria. Let me start by quoting El-rufai when he was the FCT minister, 63% of property in Abuja as at then... Was owned by the Igbos. It wasn't government that gave them to invest it, they made the money from unseen opportunities, by doing that created employment and still invested into the society, unlike foreign investors that will never have any physical investment for safety purposes. |

kernel001:Agreed. Igbos are stakeholders in the economy of Nigeria, however it amounts to self overestimation to assume that without them the economy will collapse. You see the economy of any nation is not entirely dependent on trades alone but also investments and every tribe in Nigeria has there fair share of investors. So if every igbos decide to close their shops today and relocate elsewhere trust me it won't take long for non igbos to take over such business I mean it's no brainer to understand that businesses thrive the most where there's a enabling environment not so much about the business owners themselves take for instance the current trade way between China and America, before the trade conflict China thought that the USA will blink first simply because she gives the largest foreign debt to American but we all see who's bleeding the most now. In truth igbos relocating to the east might cause some problems at first but in no time people will emerge to take the opportunity they left behind |

lexyking:From your analysis, I'm sure you're in tune with Economics. But having said that, Nigeria will feel the impact for a long time. I must remind you that a lot of people and tribe aren't ready and "may" never take SMEs as serious as the Igbos. Example... To learn a trade or craft in the West requires much payment from the apprentice's parents or guardian, after the duration you have to save for freedom, that's too costly. But the Igbos don't take a dine from you in the cost of Boyi Boyi period, but pay the apprentice after four years. Cultural differences is another thing, Igbos aren't flamboyant. They don't need a car till after building his business to a height, after that is buying a property, before car. But an average Nigerian wouldn't want to pass through should rigors. Imagine... Removing name like 1. Chimmada Adichie 2. Ngozie Okonjo 3. Philip Emeagwali 4. Arunma Oteh: Treasurer and a Vice President of the World Bank. 5. Charles Chukwuma Soludo 6. Justice Chile Eboe-Osuji : International Criminal Court (ICC) What remains of Nigerian International scholars? |

kernel001:If scholarship is what makes leadership Trump would never have won a council chairman election in US much more becoming President. He became President because of political intrigue. Does Ibo have any political heavyweight anywhere in Nigeria? Answer is NO. Ekweremadu is your highest political office holder and the man is not intriguing in politics. |
| Re: Nigeria Economy Will Collapse, If Igbo's Returns Home - Reno Omokri by kernel001: 2:30pm On Mar 05, 2019 |
BabaRamota1980:Hahaha hah... I hope you didn't smoke something too strong for you brain? I wasn't talking anything regarding Igbo politics much more Ekweremadu. For your information, scholarship is different from scholars. But if you know, Igbos aren't interested in Nigeria politics, what we need is good governance irrespective the person their. Why is the North the poverty capital of the world, illiteracy, diseases and insurgency inflicted? If that's what you enjoy as winning the presidency have it all to yourself. |
| Re: Nigeria Economy Will Collapse, If Igbo's Returns Home - Reno Omokri by BabaRamota1980: 2:55pm On Mar 05, 2019 |
kernel001:Ibo is no interested in politics is always your escape when you loose a political battle. Few weeks ago you all filled the intwrnet with LIKES for ATIKU. You all abandoned Kanu and became ATIKULATE......but you say you are not interested in Nigerian politics. I wonder what would happen if you were interested. In monetary capacity you are behind Yoruba, in individual wealth you are behind Yoruba, in regional wealth you are behind Yoruba. What really is your claim to power or leadership? Nothing but mouth qnd empty chest beat. You call North capital of poverty yet your entire village has emptied out to go and find survival in poverty up North. Mmmtchhhew....iranu! |

kernel001:You still did not get my point? The traders are not as important as the customers, so if they moved back to the east, dont you think other tribes will also boycott there products in favor of there tribal ones? And as for the people you mentioned in your post, so you think igbos have more of this caliber of people than Yorubas? REALLY? I dont think I should call names but if you want me to I will. |

Bros you see self delusion is a terrible farce that all men put their chances. Every man thinks that he has the upper ace forgetting that where he thinks he waxes stronger is the beginning for other people In 2015, some people rode on the back of PMB's popularity to get into power. In 2018, they became so full of themselves and today we know where they are. Saraki, Atikuloot and co can see their own folly now The Ibo investor who has come into Lagos and other major cities as hustlers and have made money know the power of his hosts and will not utter statements that will jeopardise his business. A peasant who cannot muster N500k to run a shop will seat behind the computer and type stuffs to say leaving to the East will cripple Lagos. How laughable can that be? In 1998 when the Hausa's clashed with the Yorubas in Sagamu and the the indigenes told them enough is enough, when it was apparent they would be driven out of the town the elders who have been settlers ad have made millions exporting kolanut to the North rose up to plead on behalf of the miscreants who started the pogrom. By the time they were on suspension, the Yorubas started building the kiosks and were selling those groceries the Mallams were selling. People did the analysis and realised how much money the Hausas were making from the kiosks. Look at the man talking. Omokri who cannot boast of $10k dollars cash is the one talking of crippling Lagos economy and some miscreants will come here to say he was making sense. Abeg make dem go. Lagos needs a breath of fresh air. This is what happens when you have people being ungrateful to their hosts. In due course, they will hear from their host. It is those who think they are wise that will teach the fool to be wise. Make we dey watch as things dey go |

BabaRamota1980:Igbos didn't vote Buhari in 2015, they didn't have any of their son in quest for presidency or vice, for them Buhari wasn't an option. They will rather vote Sowore than Buhari. If Igbos are found in the North, it's to exploit their opportunities. Americans, Chinese and Europeans don't come to Africa for fun, but to exploit our ignorance. Igbos aren't interested in Nigeria, that's the only reason why they keep asking for Biafra. |

Preshy561:your right, Alaba market in owerri was built in case of such situation as igbos are experiencing now, and it's already booming. this kind nonsense from tinubu had happened before in gboko benue state, it took only two months for the indigenes to understand that they have been mislead. hunger, from job losses from smes managed by igboes resate their brains. the king had to part with his daughter without bride price, land and two already built properties given to the negotiator for the igboes to be assuaged. |

My Brother the names I gave you, there's only one name in Nigeria that betters or equals them... Which is Wole Soyinka. |

This statement is a fallacy other countries without Igbos survived. The North n West did beta than the East before colonization if Nigeria break the Igbos will be worse of among the trio that is a fact. 2. If Igbos don’t move to places they find more conducive for beta living n every life enhancing advantage they will perish in their millions in their inhabitable village n die of starvation like they have been dying before the coming of the Europeans read history for more insight somalianprince: |

I mean, what's so great about the place that you run away from just to peddle gala and fan yogo in the SW where they have money to buy what you are peddling? |

PDP vs APC can be regarded as a choice between Ebola and cancer . How do you choose to die ? I have given up hope of any redemption for Nigeria . A country where people tell you that the forest will never run out of commercial trees even though they have to travel farther into the dwindling forest to find one to cut . The cognitive dissonance is shocking . I stopped actively commenting on Nairaland a long time ago . That was before 2015 elections. I mostly read post but give no comment . Ethnic baiting seems to be the PDP’s chief policy . That is apart from selling every government property including those not bolted to the ground to their friends and fellow robbers while stealing what can’t be sold. I do no know why but people from the southeast seem to be most susceptible to this kind of messaging. Peter obi did it fashola’s removal of destitute from all over the country. Akpabio did it during campaign . Even Sanusi (ex CBN governor) did it when he was under PDP as a party did it with the Oba of Lagos jocular comment to Igbo chiefs For lack of any good policy , they ethnic bait . When they do , it is almost always directed at the southeast . How are you going to raise revenue to fund the government? How exactly are you going to create jobs ? The critical infrastructure needed to build a middle class , where are you going to get funds . The deforestation and desertification that would soon make the country inhabitable, what are you going to do about it . The above are more relevant questions. The PDP’s form of politics (a fascist ideology) got us here .Both parties have since forever abandoned the so-called educated portion of the Nigerian mass because you know why ? They are neither different from the politicians nor do they show up on Election Day . This is why politician share rice , noodles ,sewing machine , decoder and Okada instead of like say , bringing in people to build a digital export economy which requires nothing but brains (outsourcing, building commercial software, computer games ) . PDP, a party that should have been consigned to the dustbin of history ........... This Reno Omokri is a nuisance and always has been a nuisance. However it says a lot about those who take him seriously. |

kernel001:Hmmmm I'm kind of trying to avoid starting a useless ego competition between our two tribes because my hands are itching me to type names and I'm afraid that if I do it, others not just you will jump on it and we will start the usual childish competition of who the best is. But trust me bro for every name you mentioned up there I have three people of Yoruba descent for them however because this argument is not about tribal supremacy I wont dabble into it. So I will live you with your beliefs as to who's right between us, only time will tell. Btw I like your attitude of staying on the topic and not giving in to insults kudos to you, I wish that we all can make our points without pulling others down or resorting to insults |
