Papa Oyedepo is right and you know why

God has done it already!

God has done almost everything for us, that was why He created us in His own image and said you are gods, meaning we can create whatever we want in life if we have faith and work.

So saying "God will do it" is like being uncertain if God will or not. Will is a conditional word...and saying God will do it is a sign of laziness and fear that what if...

God has done it!

If you are sick and you believe deep down your heart that you will be healed if you do a certain task, if you do that task and believe in all faith that God has done it, then start celebrating your victory, it will manifest.


So Papa is absolutely correct, work diligently with faith, and whatever you desire shall manifest.

Oyedapo just said in summary that God time Is not the best,no bone for a patience dog.

It depends on the angle from which we are looking at it.

You can't be earning 30k per month, and marry 2 wives and give birth to 10 children and when people ask you how you will raise your children, you reply that "God will do it"

But when you've put in your best into something and you then leave everything to God, then your God will do it will make sense. If apply for a job, you pass the interview in flying colours but you get to know that someone that didn't pass the interview but who has connections is trying to lobby himself into the job, in this instance your "God will do it" has meaning, because you don't have the power to help yourself for a reason beyond your control

I totally agree with him on this.

Coming from someone who has succeeded so much in ministry and administration, I won't say the statement is incorrect. Jesus even said "your time is always ready" (John 7:6). Why then would someone keep saying "God would do it when God did not ask you to fold your hands and watch?

Somewhat correct. Though not in all cases.

Maybe what he is trying to say is that people need to do something to have the change they desire. Praying for instance is work and if you don't pray you may never get the desires of your heart. You may not get that healing or increase.

Another example is You can't just wish yourself into a fellowship with God, it takes hours of prayers, study, worship etc. If you don't do it then your fellowship would be mediocre. For you to have an active relationship with God you must work it out.


But there are instances where God wants you to hands off the situation and he takes full control. I have a personal testimony to that effect. I have passed exams I never sat for, I have seen a friend's F change to A months later just by believing God and praying. So well.

Even Oyedepo once got healing from tuberculosis without medical help, so I'm sure what he said is contextual.

That statement is nothing but the honest truth and the more reason why those who are threatened with fire, brimstone and everlasting perdition if they failed to tithe need to get awake and begin to channel those funds into profitable ventures able to multiply and grow their monies or better still give those percentage to charities around them personally.

Stop the indolence of getting cowered into regularly contributing your hard earned finances into a common purse you have no control over or assured of a commensurate return upon maturity backed by a well drafted agreement.

Your comment does not correlate with the post. If you listen to Oyedepo's messages on prosperity, he doesn't just believe you can just sit at home and expect prosperity to come on you. His template for success in ministry involves working it out.

Covenant university didn't just become one of the top 10 unis in Africa by prayers and tithes only. It involved a whole lot of work.

this is very true, most believers use the saying God would do it to be lazy.A friend of mine who happen to be a graduate but jobless is laying fallow at home because he is waiting for a miracle job,I advised him to take up a teaching job at least to survive but he rejected and he made me feel like my faith is not strong enough for saying this ,and funny enough he is a living faith member.If he see a post like this won't he be more confused?

it depends on what he means

If you are saying 'God will do it' and you don't make effort, then of course that is the way of foolish and lazy people

But if you do make due effort and then you put your trust in God, considering the fact that the outcome of ur efforts lies in his hands, then you are on the right track
