Channels TV under fire for 'disinformation' over the arrest of Kano State Deputy Governor, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna & Murtala Sule Garo by the boys of CP Wakili (Singham).


Recall that, the Kano state deputy Governor, Nasiru Gawuna and the State Commissioner for Local Government, Alhaji Sule Garo were arrested for trying to disrupt governorship elections collation of results.

The Police in Kano took them into custody over alleged threat to public peace.

Channels, while reporting the incident, claimed the Deputy Governor was attacked by thugs.

As at this morning, Channels TV claimed only 15 local government results had been announced before the suspension of the announcements whereas 44 had been announced before the suspension.
