There is no state that can't pay minimum wage, since the allocation received monthly is always bigger than workers salaries.

But how SaharaReporter want to blackmail kano incoming PDP govt is what is most unfortunate. Kwakwaso is wise enough and will not make such statement at a point like this,to now ascribed this to him is a tactics by the AAC presidential lost candidate to be compensated by APC.

Whatever happens in Kano state if they use whatever means to rigged PDP out will fall on them.

What makes you different from the stupid governors
. So been a governor is by collecting allocation and paying workers salary leaving other critical sector. What percentage of the population are govern. Ent workers

Funny how an igbos man is the mouthpiece of a fulani mallam. Why not wait for kwankwaso to debunk the fake news?

my bro how funny, this battle use to be within the SE and the North but they got tired, turned to the SW to make a toothpick of, just for their calmness. I still can't imagine you wanting to dictate a man's choice when even you can make the right one. want to make a follower out of people that are well and better organized than you are, ahead of you in every sphere of life. people with focused, directional and visionary leadership compare to you without a leader, living a life of sheep without shepherd. they keep amazing me.

Who says the 26,000.margin between the two parties cannot be turned around?.I pitied the wailers on the internet, especially those who cannot discerned the pendulum of politicians that it's hard to defeat a ruling party.very soon you will hear 'its rigged'.All the parties are rigger's and the scale depends on money and the instruments of State available.Kwanchakwo or what is your name sef, don't rejoice yet.

Will Lagos sign 30k for its civil servants? Will Sanwo inherit an empty treasury from Ambode?

Great indeed! Experience indeed! There are some utterances that are better left unspoken, this will cost PDP their victory in Kano State.

The monies that is been embezzled by the various state governors is so huge compared to tiny workers salaries.
The problem of Nigeria is that we are too greedy....

Soon the governors will budget for themselves ad commissioners, House of Assembly members etc yet the work these govt official are doing to earn millions is not half of what workers are doing.

You claimed that there are other things they need to do yet your can't see meaningful projects in all the states.
Yet a Governor of 8 years will be richer that 8 judges who serve for 35years and even richer that 500 hundred teachers who serve for 35years....

As leader of PDP in Kano he has directed.... angry
Who the hell does he think he is to dictate what the government will do and not do.
I just donot understand what is wrong with Nigerians. Why must the next always be worse than the previous. You seek deliverance from a yoke of bondage only to take another.

Kwakwanso has had his eight hears in government. He is done and shoukd stay away from governance. The deal is between the governor and those who elected him. He is responsible to them. He is accountanbe to them only. They shouls shun godfatherism. It doesn't matter hpw the givernor was elected. It doesn't matter what support he got from who. What ultimately matters is responsibility. Godfatherism is completely inverse to performance simply because he who controls will and cannot be judged and he who holds power can and will shirk accountability.

A clear example: If there was misgovernace in Lagos this last dispensation who would you blame. Mr Ambode or his godfather.... think about it. Who do you hold responsible.... one, the other or both...

All over the world Presidents, Prime Ministers, Governors, Senators Chairmen and women are supported by all manner of interests, sponsored to the ballot. Sent with all manner of agendas but once the ballot is cast it ends there. You simply cannot follow the bride and groom into honeymoon suite and dictate how they get along with married life.

Kano should remain a society, a dynamic one where the people are the ultimate deciders and the elected the ultimate servant. Godfatherism is not progress. To pay or not to pay minimum wage is not political ideology, it is not an issue of party philosophy. It is a direct government act. It is not Mr. Kwakwanso's business.

Ebullience:
Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano and former Governor of the state, has said the incoming Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration in the state will not be able to pay N30, 000 minimum wage to workers as they anticipate to inherit an empty treasury from Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje's administration.

Kwankwaso, who addressed a group of Kwankwassiyya supporters in Kaduna, said the PDP is sure of victory in the supplementary election and will not continue with the payment of N30, 000 minimum wage as promised workers by Ganduje.

“As the leader of the party in Kano, I have directed our Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, not to pay the minimum wage because that is the APC manifesto and we will not take it," Kwanllkwas said.

"Anyway, we will ensure that workers get their salaries on or before the 25th of every month, but what we will not do is to pay the minimum wage."

At the time the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the Kano governorship election inconclusive, PDP’s Yusuf had polled 1,014,474 votes while APC’s Ganduje had 987,819.

However, the margin of 26,655 votes between the two top candidates meant it was impossible for INEC to declare a winner.”

is this how Ganduje planed to shock PDP? With fake news.

"As the leader of the party in Kano, I have directed our Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, not to pay the minimum wage because that is the APC manifesto and we will not take it," Kwanllkwas said.

Where did he get the powers to give the Governor directives. How does being a party Leader gives him he constitutional power to instruct the governor. I'm not understanding

It is IBOs that are posting all these nonsense on what is happening in Northern & South West politics, that is why we want them out of Lagos politics.

The voters you called Almajirin, illiterates and beggars because they voted for whom they trusted now suddenly become enlightened because they voted for another person they like in another election. For your information, politics in Kano as it is in South West is not dependent on political party ownership or tribal or religious affiliation but on individual the majority of the people trust at any point in time and on the strength of character of political actors of the party as at that point in time.

The issue of Kano and Oyo is not that of people likeness for PDP or APC but choice based on individuals the majority of people trust at this point of time. The dynamics can change at any time.
