I don't like hailstorms lol. Last time one happened, last year, it ruined my day. I was pissed! Imagine I had just done my laundry & even washed a couple of blankets for good measure. Next thing, it just started raining out of nowhere. Huge balls of ice. It rained hard for about an hour. By the time it was done, everything was on the floor, covered it dirt. I won't lie, I shed a tear because I was just beside myself with anger & frustration. Had to throw away one blanket because the shit on it wouldn't come out.

I hate hailstorms
last time I experienced one I got smacked in the face by a sheet of ice and water (I don't know why I thought looking in the sky was a good idea) Ice got into everything.It felt bad.Then it melted and i got drenched.One of my worst rainy days ever.Felt like a melting snowman.Wonder how the Egyptians felt when they got the hail plague.

Ohk,that's a loong time and I just checked the cover and a summery of the book online and it dates way back in 1984.Those were the most difficult times in our history as a nation.

Yeah but I don't think the book touched on that. It just followed the life of the girl from their flat in London to the village life in Ghana with the extended family over there. It was all about painting a contrast between the two worlds, with a lot about Ghanaian culture rather than politics. Books don't really have to reflect the realities of the times they were written in.

LMFAO. Ewwww. Wash your own blankets. Just step on them with both feet & then put them in a washing basket to drain out the water. At least that's how I do it. It's much easier that way.
Jace, the hardest part was picking up the wet blankets from the ground up, then I had to go up the stairs with them. I was whizzing like a steam train I was finished!

I don't know hot it is in Morocco but I assume the temperatures may be more tolerable than how they are in West Africa.My nose bleeds when temperatures hit 35+ degrees,so hot weather is my kryptonite.I sweat excessively and become extremely weak.

Just buy one of those big plastic washing baskets. They make the work easier.

Well Jace, I have a mild case of OCD, so I wash them once to twice a month. It depends on how they "feel". Even if they don't visibly look dirty, I'll still wash them if they feel dirty lol.
