What do we gain from rooting our phones? Can you give us 5 convincing reasons or more to embark on this adventurous journey? Tnx.

Even if I give you 100 reasons; rooting is still at your own risk.
It's as risk as charging your phone in the market also as safe and easy as drinking pure water if you're good at it.

The only reason I will consider rooting is to port to a higher ROM.

Rooting died a few years ago for me. Dont see reason why i should root again. (unless i am missing something ) But one gionee e3 i used some years ago really suffer. i was porting all kinds of roms on a weekly basis. the phone sweet no be small.

I just confirmed that umidigi one pro is not actually 5.9 inches as claimed by the company. The screen size of my umidigi one pro is 5.5 inches.
The reason is that infinix smart 2 tempered glass which is 5.5 fits my umidigi one pro.
Don't know the yardstick umidigi used in measuring their own screen size o....

Measure the visible screen area not the whole surface. It is possible for it to fit your One. it is 5.9

Its not up to 5.9. I am very very sure of what I am talking about. I even used antutu banchmark the other day, it was not up to that 5.9

then that means my Nokia X5 is also 5. 5 cos its the same size with phone you're talking about.
But you have to remember that there's a difference in aspect ratio
If you compare the length of the screen itself its actually longer and its 5.9 inches but its thinner because of the new 19:9 aspect ratio. So you get a longer bigger screen in a smaller body size

Compare the screen length and you'll see...
