Two male winners in recitation and memorization of the whole Qur’an with eloquence and its sciences, Abdurrahman Bunu from Borno and Yusuf Yahaya from Edo states respectively are to represent Nigeria at the international competition in Turkey in May this year.

Also, female winners in the different categories would represent the FCT at the National Quranic completion late this year in Kano State. This is part of the outcome of the fourth Edition of Qur’anic Recitation Competition, which started last Friday, organised by the Islamic Promotion Initiative of Nigeria (IPIN) and the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation of Republic of Turkey at the Abuja National Mosque Sunday night.


While Mallam Bunu came first in the 60 Hizb (segments), he was followed by Ismail Umar from Niger State and Abdulmalik Ahmad from Ogun State who came third.

Also, while Mallam Yahya won the tangeem (melodic mode), Ibrahim M. Ibrahim of Borno State came second and Ajmul Nura Shema of Katsina State came third.

Lol normal thing. It's a false sense of moral uprightness. Reminds me of my Edo friend in school who lost his wallet in a taxi. I got a call from cab man asking him to come pickup his wallet cos my phone no was boldly written in a piece of paper. My guy was overjoyed, saw the cash, everything intact.
