Will this affects the nysc monthly allowance?

Definitely, it should. In fact, that's where it will even start from.

Shut up. What has that thief got to do with Minimum wage. The guy who stole Kwara dry, hold Nigeria hostage for 3 years and half by his unquenchable greed. A bill that has been sent to him for over 3 months by house of representatives is just signed today!! FYI Kwara state which is supposed to be his state gives the lowest salary to her workers in Nigeria, while he divert the real salary to his account.

Loads of Rubbish you typed out here

PriestlyLawyer:
The Nigerian Senate has approved N30,000 as the new national minimum wage.

The approval came subsequent to the submission of the report of the ad hoc committee set up to review the minimum wage. The committee was headed by Senator Francis Alimikhena.

The decision was taken at the plenary session on Tuesday.

A request was also made to the Nigerian government to submit a supplementary budget, which would include the structure of the new national minimum wage.

The House of Representatives had also earlier approved the new figure as the national minimum wage.

The main issue is its implementation. states government that could not implement N18,000, how would they implement N30,000?

It is a good thing and we all Happy about it but we could be more happier if there is no corresponding increase in consumer price index.

Market women and business men on hearing this will always want to increase price of goods and services, the question is what will the government do in that regards to tackle the corresponding increase if not it becomes counter productive and we are back to square one.

My little advice here is that for every increase in money supply (MS), the govt should as matter of Importance increase local production of goods and services, subsidizing these goods as well as relaxing taxing, so that individuals will enjoy the benefit of this new minimum wage.

God bless Nigeria.

Nigerian Senate approves N30,000 as new minimum wage
A new report from the Senate, an arm of the Nigerian Legislative Government has made it known that the House has approved a new minimum wage for workers in the country.

The report made it known that the National Minimum Wage Act CAP N61 LFN (Repeal and Re-enactment) 2019, was read for the third time before the Senate today and has been passed.

With this, the newly approved Minimum wage now stands at N30,000 as against the previous wage of N18,000.

Oga, Buhari wanted NASS to approve #27k minimum wage.

Saraki and Dogara just raised it further to #30K
