Oh Africans, now I see why the whites see you like animals. I really don't blame them at all.

You didn't say you earned a PhD at 28 or funded yourself through uni at least. Neither did you say you started a business from scratch and gave us your website or link. You didn't even say you run an NGO, authored a book, started a community project or so... the proudest thing you could name is being in politics because it entitles you to a few police escorts and limitless funds to loot.

You Africans are funny people seriously cheesy
im a medical doctor but this is Africa actually.

You cant even be a native doctor ?

Cos all your post on this forum lack the basic intelligence of a native doctor not of talk of a medical doctor.

The fact that you placed political affiliation above your medical degree makes me think you're just another Saraki who did the same.

If you indeed earned that degree with all the sweat and sacrifices it entails, I expect you to have a deeper sense of reasoning than fortunate misfits seeking refuge in politics to be able to feed.

Be different, it will not kill you. You're educated and informed, you most likely know much more than that Mr Otunba so don't be afraid to call a spade what it is.

Nigerians, leaders and followers are foolish people. The success girl who only showed her frustration is being celebrated. My mom always said she didn't go to secondary school because her father couldn't afford 10 naira back then. She's the most intelligent person I know. Imagine if she went to school. There are millions of kids going through worse than success. I see them chasing buses with pure water. I see them begging. Going viral on soctal media doesn't make anyone special. Rather than gift the one girl monetary gifts, a fund should have been set up to help immodest kids stay in school. Unemployed graduates should be thinking of setting up affordable schools like the ones in Kenya. Protests should have held against issues like this. That's what Americans would have done. Rather, we're saying nonsense like "she was destined to help her family", "her name is success". You call this success?
A whole speaker, who should have used his position to advocate for quality, free education in a state like that, is giving a blockhead adult half a million naira for posting a skit online. 500k would pay school fees for 100 kids. We should stop monetizing everything in nigeria and start solving real problems with real solutions. I expect that blockhead up there to fight for free, quality education and start an NGO but her family and friends already pushed her to cry for 1m. Later you'll say Buhari is why everybody is so foolish.
When I condemn the high service act done by that foolish deputy speaker of Delta State house of Assembly in Instagram. So many Nigerians ate me raw. I realize Nigerians are their own problems. Their thinking faculty is no different from that of a monkey.

Ironically I am fighting for you too.

If the 500k used for 'showmanship' was spent on your primary school. You will come out better than the rubbish you typed. grin grin
Na wa ooh too many dingbat in this country, see how they are defending criminals who have mortgaged their future and the future of their unborn kids through their criminal acts.Brother, you better leave them alone.

a working government suppose to declare a state of emergency in the education sector, imagine the environment were the kids stay to learn and you have bodies like desopadec, subeb, ube, commissioner for education, house committee on education. Deputy speaker that suppose to enact a law that would prevent future occurrence of this incident is busy paying for nunu in disguise.

How can a deputy speaker send 500k like that

That's why people are joining politics
This one is more than ordinary deputy speaker. If you are from delta state you wouldn't be saying that because he can do much more than that. That's why they call him Empowerment Master

all what you typed are the ghetto basicy facts..i used to know someone that is the PA to this man... in delta state... in ndokwa east lga... the schools and other places are worrisome... there used to be a vocational center but it's now inhabited by reptiles and animals... school children don't have sandals, uniforms, the villages has have no medical centers.. as a Corp member then... one of us had an accident and you could see the general hospital she was taken to.. there were no drugs, suturiy devices and sorts...we had to contribute money to pay for her to be attended to.. I have fhese fears that a state as rich as this couldn't be developed but alas. the leadership are bad and wicked... it's all about the people at the helm of affairs in these places... no light, water for a whole year served in there.. ndokwa east has no bank in its territory... until you go to kwale.. ndokwa west... it's that bad...

Why do you think Nigerians post video online? Most are for entertainment. I just saw what you are referring to as "mocking". I disagree. She is very honest person. That is why she told that the video was for entertainment (so that people would laugh). That is so different from mocking and shaming. Very soon, video journalist would surfaced in Nigeria using their video to tell stories, experiences in other to shape public opinion and influence public policies. Such ideology starts from entertainment.

It is good we encourage the culture of videos and video posting online. That way, everyone knows that everyone is watching. In western world, in addition to phone videos, they have CCTV cameras buried everywhere to check crime. We only have access to phones. It could stop a lot of harassment and unruly behaviours on our street.

Ordinarily, the parents shouldn't wait for her to ask them. She shouldn't also feel entitled to it too. But this is Nigeria where people find it difficult to eat and the knowledge of knowing that your effort/work blessed a family with many millions of naira who are not willing to share. You would be hurt. However, a good and loving couple would want to share the joy of giving with the video recorders. There are ways they would share that love with her that many people would donate more to their daughter Success. Right now, I do not think anyone else would want to give to success' parents any more money after hearing the story. People limit their prosperity by non-sharing. In fact I should contribute money to the video recorder for her work. hehehe. Let me go and look for her on Instagram
Well, maybe we should just agree to disagree on the entertainment side of things because i know if somebody posted my child on instagram ranting that she couldnt pay her fees i would smash the persons phone myself. Different strokes for different folks. Other people's trials and tribulations are not a source of entertainment

"Very soon, video journalist would surfaced in Nigeria using their video to tell stories, experiences in other to shape public opinion and influence public policies. Such ideology starts from entertainment.

No problem! Godspeed to all the budding journalists out there!

i understand that things need to be documented so that people can be held accountable for their actions but just tell me. If this babe had seen (but not recorded) this girls rant (which, if she grows up to become the poised and sophisticated lawyer she says she wants to be, could very well become an embarrassment to her), been touched and then made a documentary or some kind of project about the deplorable condition of education in Delta state, circulated it and then gone viral, do you think anybody would disagree that she should also be invited to the governors house for lunch?

People keep saying all this western world, western world! In the western world, you cant video other people's children without their permission. In the western world, Success' face would have been pixelated or blurred to stop paedophiles and people who wish her ill from knowing her identity. In the western world, this lady would have signed an agreement with Success' parents before posting to protect herself from litigation and cement her own percentage of the money instead of quoting random figures that she feels she is "owed". Western world talk don tire me abeg

I agree with you @ the bolded. The rest of the paragraph is ok with me too. I just dont like the lady's behaviour
