Please is it a problem if one's Educational qualifications varies widely from their work experience? Let's say one is an engineer that ended up working in the bank, the norm with naija. Does the person have to explain why? Topsmamen GozyNA please help out. |

Mamaroon:Good evening...thank you. Pls I have a few questions with regards PEI PnP. A friend got nominated. A medical Doc, A family Physician. She has a few questions. Q1 For her degree, they said it must be evaluated by a regulated body and this is not ECA, when she sent MCC a mail, MCC said she will need to contact PEI med body, she did and PEI med body said she should go thru MCC. Any idea what to do at this point? Cos they gave her 5points for registered with a regulatory body option. PS she has also verified her specialist certificate. Q2. How will she go about paying the 300cad for PEI PnP cos they said should raise a bank draft. Q3 can ARM account (investment managers) be added as an account to show POF for the PnP. Thank u so much.....I really appreciate |

kentoski:No, it's not a problem and there's no need to explain anything. You will evaluate your engineering educational qualification and use your banking job to claim points for work experience. |

Topsmamen:Ok bro, I was thinking that if I'm the one I might be wondering why an Engineer is presenting work experience as a teacher, and them as an admin, both very unrelated to his field you know. But if you say that don't matter, we shoot our shot and believe God. You've been of immense help to me. Thank you! |

drcynthia:Hiya! Pls take my answers with a pinch of salt because I jumped off the PNP wagon some months ago. But she may find this useful.... PEI foreign qualification recognition is NOT ECA. see here for which body should evaluate...looks like college of physicians and surgeons...maybe things have changed https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/sites/default/files/publications/foreign_qualification_recognition.pdf I suspect she should have already done this before getting the points for it though. She needs to use a foreign currency/domicilliary account and convert from USD or GBP to CAD....not sure it will qualify for FX in Nigeria i.e. converting from Naira. Also looks like money order is allowed. See here - pls confirm if a more current version exists : https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/sites/default/files/publications/pei_pnp_express_entry_guide.pdf Sorry ...no idea about what serves as proof of funds for PEI....but if the ARM account has equities I would say no (just my educated /calculated guess). She should liquidate from there and invest in something liquid that cannot lose value like bank deposit or tbills All the best! |

kentoski:You're welcome. Your education and work experience do not have to be related. Don't fret about it bro, go ahead and shoot that shot. |

After xtosync shared (see...something good has come out of your experience already and more good is on the way for you)......I went back to my chosen NOCs and noticed one had changed and had an error...it was a 100% match before..... now it was showing something bizarre...filled the contact us form online and got this email. We may want to use this to check NOCs https://www.statcan.gc.ca/eng/subjects/standard/noc/2016/indexV1.2

Lastly, her friend wanted to apply for the same PEI PnP. But when she tried creating a profile, at the end, it said not eligible. Shes 44 yrs, gotten her ECA via MCC and did ielts. LRWS. 8.5/6.5/7.0/7.5 Scores currently is 313. If she retakes ielts n gets the upper limit for ielts. Her scores would be like 383. Question is, 1a. Would 383 be ok to create an eligible profile? So she re writes ielts. Cos Without EE profile seem she cant apply for any PnP.....or can she? Thank u again. You have been so helpful. |

Eddy4400:Thanks for this. I wanted to do this myself, but my fear is POF, even if I sell all my property, I can only raise half of it. I've read and reread this thread that I know all process by heart. I even know pass agent. Please, I'm raising pof for a family of 3, biko how does Tbills work? Can I send you a mail? |

drcynthia:You need an EE profile to do PNP, as I understand it. She can assume 7 in reading and use that to check for eligibility here..... https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/come-canada-tool-immigration-express-entry.html I think all she can do given the age is try (it's downhill from 35 yrs) to max out IELTS and enter the pool. ......And if she means business....learn French Has her spouse (if applicable) done ECA and IELTS? I assume she got points for having a professional degree. |

The second shocker was the info on gift deed for POF! So why did I now come back to this Nigeria? Ohhh ignorance indeed is bliss...I sha followed alllll the Canadian express entry threads from Part 1 and my journey began.
Invested the total sum in TBills for 3months, then duplicated @Newmum0615's LOE like a lifeline in explaining my source of funds. Sent back to her to proofread and she was like, this looks so much like mine
