FG approved around 65 trucks and cars for FRSC to be bought from Innoson and PAN.

There are several others too.

We like to dream jare. We have more low hanging fruits unaddressed. Manufacturing cars locally is not even on the list. We can't even produce power. We don't produce common bicycle. We have an impoverished middle class. A car manufacturing plant needs to sell a sizeable number per annum to consider breaking even. Not less than 10k units sounds reasonable. How many people can afford that with school fees and many other issues to contend with? Finally, if there is a 6% loan hanging around somewhere, it will end up with businesses who need it. It doesn't make much sense government wants to give out a 6% loan for a luxury good when the real sector has no access to loans. My 6 kobo contribution.

This country is funny. If the Federal government wants to really help indigenous car manufacturers, what it would have simply done is to instruct ministries, parastatals and departments and other agencies of government both Federal and state to buy cars only from indigenous companies, that will go a long way to help boost these companies not this loan drama.

all those companies will be the ones trooping to nigeria o assemble or manufacture their cars cos nigeria market is huge.

Good to know which vehicle is made in Nigeria. By made in Nigeria is meant a vehicle whose engine block, chassis, tyres and innards are sourced and produced in Nigeria. Show me one!
