A man who recently visited his friend at the Police/Mopol Barrack, Harbour Road, Portharcourt has cried out over the deplorable condition he met the barrack where over 300 policemen & their families are currently living.

He shared the photos and wrote:

PLEASE SAVE SOME SOULS

This is a police/Mopol Barracks sited behind Harbour Road in the old PH township where over 300 policemen & their families are living. This to me is a SUISIDE MISSION, TIMED BOMB, DEATH WARRANT, call it anything.

The devastating & ready to collapse sights of the building drew my attention as I went visiting an old friend within the area.

This is a complete DEATH TRAP!I spoke with a few police officers & persons I met on ground & they lamented how they have tried to reach out & to draw the attention of the Rivers state Government & even the NDDC to come to their rescue but all to NO AVAIL.

Rather than screaming for rescue support teams to rescue lives when the tragedy will surely occur why don't we just SAVE THIS LIVES?

This gallant men & women risk their lives already to protect lives of citizens in Rivers state, should they also risk the lives of their immediate family members?Please let's share till this gets to the relevant authorities concerned to do the needful.

When growing up i went to a school so run down. Most of us behaved just the way the school looked. When their barraks is like this and stations too, what do you expect from the average police man or woman. Yet the NPF is very rich. EFCC won't see this or FG. Kwotinue

No wonder they are always depressed. Just imagine the smell, odour and ...chaiii that will be coming out from that toilet and bathroom. They can't sleep well because the homes and environments are not conducive. The salary is next to nothing. They collect money from anybody, anyhow and anywhere. The worse part of it is that they are armed rubbers. One can go on and on and on.. POLICE! SORRY OH.

This is so wrong.

Na all police barracks o.. Those guys can born children like wetin..

Those deckings are disaster waiting to happen.

And we say make police no collect bribe?

No weapons, no cars, no fuel for the available cars and the generators in the police stations, no free uniforms or boots, no motivation for these people!!!

That is the problem with Nigerians.. Police has done nothing wrong to us bro. It is our leaders. Our politicians that turned our police the way they are.

We need to stop defending politicians.. Look at how much ur senators pocket each month.. Look at how much ur ex leaders pockted each month.
