see, calm your nerves and try to understand, GTB has lost, Don't take this too personal, stop being tribalistic, ur not the only one who has a friend or relative in GTB, i mean, they have plenty of igbo staff too, this is affecting everyone biko....... The truth is, if it were me and you, we would do worse, this is something most banks do, not only GTB, and that's because we don't have enough laws protecting the rights of a customer in the Banking sector, But unfortunately, they met the wrong person.
Anyone telling you Innoson forged a docu is scam, i mean, anyone in such a deep poo would say anything to save his ass!. Face the reality please, they have met their waterloo, I just hope they pay up, learn their lessons and come back to operation, we still need them

Do you know how much GTB makes in just one branch in a commercial city like Onitsha? You guys just sit in mud house enclave of Ibadan and kept yapping incoherently while GTB is being shut down. Yes, Onitsha is a commercial city in the yeast. When you want to compare that to other cities in the West, it fades into total insignificance.

Aside Lagos there's no yoruba township that can be compared to Onitsha. Ibadan, Abeokuta, osogbo etc, are all filled with poor people that live in mud houses without toilets. I have been there so i know and i have pictures too.

There are 2 separate cases...

1. Customs Vs Innoson

2. GTB vs Innoson

Innoson took Customs to court over some uncleared good and won N2bn.

GTB was instructed to pay him from Customs Account with GTB then..

GTB already had a case with Innoson.

Immoson had forged clearing documents for goods that imported for him by GTB on the condition that he will pay 25% of the value of the container before they release the goods.

Innoson didn't have 25% so he forged the documents and went to clear the goods from the port..

GTB found out and has him arrested.

He later confessed and signed a payment plan with GTB as he didnt have the money.

GTB didnt even want to prosecute him. They just wanted their money.

Innoson now want to collect the money from the customs case while still owning GTB from his forging activities.

Can you imagine?

Innoson has been running from pillar to post trying to delay the court process in his own forgery case..

But after all the delay tactics, the case finally resumed this year...

Installmental payment spanning for 10 years is to the detriment of Gtbank. There's a 22% annual interest on the money. Innoson will continue to gain as long as they keep delaying.
