Hello great accountants in the forum, I want to ask the name of banks and branches where I can pay ICAN exemption fee in Ibadan. I think it should be a voucher with PIN but, When I went to Eco bank and First bank at Dugbe, they responded incoherently as if they don't know anything about it.

But in addition, if u hv a comp wit internet connection, wt ur ATM card u dont nid to stress ur self goin to bank for anytin, starting from ur first registration till u ar inducted. U can easily pay online wt no extra charges. You can connect ur Comp/Lapi to d internet tru ur android phone's Hotspot.

There is one-off development levy of 2k, usually due on first registration as a student. Then & thereafter, u wil be rquired to pay 4k anually.
What dis means is dat u wil pay 6k initially, and 4k annually.
There is a directiv in jan 2019, effectiv MayDiet, that students will no longer be allowed to seat for exams if they hav any kobo outstanding.

Exemption process usually take 2weeks to 1month or even longer. All u nid to do is to calm down and face ur studies. If you knw, according to the syllabus that you qualified for such exemption, u wil definitely goin to be exempted. From time to time, loggin to ur account in the portal, then click on Examination >>Status. Thats how you will knw, cuz it will display ur oustanding papers & the amount to be paid.

pls ,base on the review/ amendment on some IAS/IFRS standards, can I still rely on Ican study pack for financial reporting that was published 2014 in my preparation for 2019 May exam. Or should I study new material that contains/explains the new standards for May 2019 exam.

Kindly note that its nt just about the course u studied, the school u graduated from also matters. Cuz some skools are accredited by Ican while some are nt

Check back the portal, say in a week time, to knw wen u ar given a reg num. For ur exemption u need to carefully read the exemption guidelines @ http://icanig.org/new/students/professional-exemption

Its not just to supply his details online. You wil need his signature on the printed form. So, having an accountant's details online here wil not help u. I advice that u walk into any of the banks or any corporate firm and ask to meet any of their chartered accountant. Introduce ur self well, ur mission and kindly request his signature for ur Ican registration. Most of them will gladly oblige. Goodluck

Go to any ICAN tutorial centre close to you and ask for a chartered accountant.

This is killing. I know people who registered as far back as 2013. For some reason they put the programme on hold. So they'll have to pay a 7 year outstanding + the exam fee that seems to rise every year. Hmmm
