The pressure to make the UCL has become higher than ever for Spurs because they would need to compete at the highest level to attract fans to the stadium. If they don't make the UCL, fan participation will be lower, their best players will leave, they will unable to attract better players and that would affect their financial sustainability especially if they hope to pay off the debt incurred for this stadium. They have to find creative ways to boost revenues else they would default with their debt and that is typically catastrophic.

This is one of the areas where I give Wenger a lot of respect and credit for keeping us in the UCL. That helped us during the building of the stadium and playing in the UCL helped attract good sponsors like Emirates who have the naming rights of our stadium in return the make long term financial sponsorship commitments to Arsenal which helps us take care of our debt.

Arsene Wenger has his own faults o but u can't single out Wenger as the sole problem Arsenal had. Debts had to be paid or else we would have been in a bind for consecutive years. Tottenham would pay 1bn for the next 30 years and they're not using the stadium alone.

Whether you like it or not, Arsene Wenger would always be mentioned in the history of Arsenal as the one that modernized the club. Hate him or not, e no comot anytjing for him pocket.

The likes of Sevilla, Villarreal and Valencia are as good as Arsenal and Tottenham, if not better.
Spanish football is a whole lot more competitive than people give them credit for. Aside the top two, the fight for the remaining 2 positions for UCL is usually very fierce.
