Too costly na, why must everything be this crazy in naija

They know that once pre-paid metre is completely introduced, their fraudulent estimated billing system will be a thing of the past.
This is their last desperate move to defraud the innocent Nigerian.
If it means borrowing to procure the pre-paid metre, we shall do so.
In my area, for instance, the average consumer who has pre-paid meter pays less than 3000 per month. Meanwhile, those receiving estimated bills are billed between 15 to 20 k monthly. Do the sum.

I still wonder what a Joke this is! Very soon, Nigerians would be asked to Buy their own fuel Pumps in other to Buy Fuel from Filling Stations.
This is so wrong and should be challenged. This is their Business> They should provide the Meters !

Nigeria is a complete failed state. The things that happen in Nigeria are complete opposite of things that happen in rest of the world.

My bigger concern is the availability of the meter and how long customers would have to wait after payment.

Nigerians and complaints sha!

All these people complaining about the price will not be averse to spending similar or even great amounts on buying the latest phones to show off.

Same people who complained about estimated billing and the length of time involved in getting a meter are still condemning this new initiative aimed at resolving these problems.
So we should be scammed in the name of resolving issues. This government is doing daylight robbery.

Why are you thinking upside down? If I buy a phone, it belongs to me and I can do anything to it. So you mean we should buy something that the government will still say belongs to her?

If we buy that meter, they should expect me to tamper with it because it is my property and I can go any length on it to give me satisfaction.

Nigerians needs to wisen up and don't have to be daft

It's optional to buy the meter bro. You can still enjoy your estimated billing

instead of you to be creative in your thinking, you're just thinking blandly. you could have well suggest that the meter comes with free credit units that will cover part or all of the cost the meter, you're here justifying nonsense.

You're simply not being realistic.

What you have here is similar to the argument for deregulation and subsidy for fuel. Either fuel is subsidized and we have fuel scarcities because suppliers are unwilling to meet the demand at that price or deregulate and ensure the product is everywhere and eventually allow competition for supply drive the price down.

Remember how much GSM lines were at the beginning? How much do lines go for now?

Remember how much DStv decoders use to go for? How much are they now?

Nigerians argue they are being ripped off with estimated billing and need prepaid meters. For years now the demand for the meters have not been matched by supply because the pricing is not attractive.

Now we have providers ready to bridge this gap at a premium.

The onus now for Nigerians is to pay up and get the meter or continue accepting estimated bills. With time, the price of meters will go down.

I can tell you for free that the guy will get crazy estimated bills throughout the entire period of wait. And he must clear everything else he won’t be able to recharge the prepaid meter after the first units are exhausted.

Proper 419 them discos!

The estimated bills is pure insanity..... No readings, nothing and they bring bills every month.... Things like this are worthy of protest... They made no meter available and they are collecting money from people with no justifiable means.... Naija people too gentle abeg.... And to think we have labour's union in the country... Useless organization
