Following are graphical images of electoral results as far back 1979. I included some nuggets to highlight how Yoruba beat competition to emerge the Supreme political leader of Southern Nigeria.

Yoruba dominates electoral South with number of registered voters, and if we were ever to introduce the Electoral College like they do in US, Yoruba will sweep victory for its endorsement.

The numbers are there, we have studied them and are prepared full force to go into 2023 and compete.

i hope not. This is to educate and affirm where we stand. It does not need to lead to fight. If other Southern groups believe they have a more daunting argument against my position they better bring it. We need info, not fight. Race for 2023 has started and there is not going to be a "it's our turn, it should be given to us" mumbo-jumbo! Everyone interested in the position should compete for it.

No body is competing with yuroba in apc come 2023 as se/ss will not be interested. . You will definitely have on a plater. Worry not the North is with you.

Some people will wake up very early and start beating their dry hairless chests about statistics gotten from fraudulent allocated figures.

These people are so engrossed with remaining relevant in irrelevant matters in an era where their region is competing with Mogadishu.

Pray tell, how has these figures helped your people get more employment, security, electric power and good roads in the grand scheme of things?

Moderators should please push this to front page. This is the type of thread that tickles their tribalistic fancy.

Las Las, na una go get tired of chest beating after you wake up to see that you have been left behind.

Fantastic response. The SE/SS is not interested and will never be tricked to contest for 2023 presidency. The SW should deservedly take it.

We want to start with Vice Presidency!

I never knew Atiku didn't secure 25% votes in 7 northern states if not for the stat table.

Yorubas have nothing to worry about in Nigerian politics and general life because, as a people, we are fair and always pay our dues. This is very important in life and it is what people remember when they decide that one good turn deserves another.

Congratulations on your statistical feat, though you didn't tell us the aim of this lecture. Next is to show us the breakdown of those figures by ethnicity then tell us how it has made Nigeria less of a sh1thole.

Thank you.

Your statement is an assumption of what the north will or will not do.

You will notice that my stats included parties. It is party performance by states and regions.
Politics is risk game and every party know this when selecting candidates. Yoruba is a political asset to any party. We are not a risk at all.

Here is what is almost certain -
APC will nominate a Yoruba in 2023 with a Northern VP.

If PDP nominates a Southerner it will be Yoruba , with a Northern VP.

That table shows what parties can expect regionally and how to zone for victorious outcome.

Looking at the 25% quota performance by the candidates, SW demonstrated itself as a serious partner attached to political progress.

This your selfish line of thinking is the very reason the North will stay in power at the center forever - just like they did in the military era - until you guys either start using your heads correctly or the faulty foundation gets finally obliterated.

Here is the harsh reality of the Nigerian politics - for any opposition party to take power at the center, it has to field a perceivably core northern candidate.

The north already knows this. And the selfishness and idiosyncrasies of folks like you only help to strengthen the northern resolve to clinch on power at all times.

The only possible way out?

Political unification of the south and the northern Christians.

But, your region, your very region may never get up to this, due to the fact that a lot of people from there owe their allegiance to the caliphate.

The final outcome? The status quo of northern domination.

In the final analysis, your current bravadoes are like that of
a brainwashed slave flexing his perceived superiority and sophistication to his fellow slaves.

Regionally, Yorubas have always preserved and presented SW as a political asset, and it paid off. We know of three possibilities in Nigerian politics-

1. As a ruling government
2. As an opposition government
3. As a parallel government

We have served in everyone of these capacities successfully.

From 1999 to 2003 SW was AD and opposition government.

From 2003 to 2007, with exception of Lagos, SW was PDP ruling government.

From 2007 to 2011, SW went back to opposition, AC.

From 2011 to 2015 SW was ACN, ran a parallel government to PDP.

From 2015 to 2019 SW was APC and in ruling government.

Im not selfish. Its reality, sir!

You are accepting defeat when you surrender what is yours to others without a fight. Stop saying North will rule forever....dont you want to rule? If you do find allies to endorse your candidacy, instead of resolving your fate in the hands of North to fight your battle.

The bold is not true. What does the North have that you do not?

You Ibos see government from one perspective only - the man at the top, the ruler! You fail to acknowledge like the Yorubas do that even from an opposition role a ruling government can be brought to its knees and forced into compromise to progress society.

If Christian North was that relevant for you why did your delegates from East pick muslim Atiku over christian Makarfi at the PortHarcourt primaries?

You have to ally with somebody to make progress in life. No individual is self-sufficient. No region is either. Today North is your enemy, tomorrow West is your enemy, next day South is your enemy. When are you going to make friends? grin grin

You make me laugh with your responses.
