When the right time came he felt the urge to go to john the Baptist when John saw him he already knew him and his future mission after baptizing Jesus, Jesus Christ now knows who He was and his earthly mission which is to show man the way back to paradise. Salvation is a work in progress but the moment you give up on your self, you lose it.

God gave me a revelation that many people in hell today have no business being there but many of them found themselves in your situation but rather than continue to strive to be better, they gave up there salvation and that was it.

The most dangerous twist is that the moment you give up, Satan colonizes you with demons so much that you may never be able to come back to Christ.

I have great passion for Jesus and i enjoy preaching about salvation to the world but nevertheless,as human,i have my area of weakness and i pray and strive everyday to get better with the help of the holy spirit.

The mistake many people make is that they jusxtapose the standard of righteousness with the lifestyle of their Pastors but the shocker is that no matter how anointed anybody can be, there is usually an area of weakness but the good news is that GOD is not looking for a perfect human but all he wants is a humble and willing heart.This is the only qualification GOD wants from us.

Good day bro. Kindly help a brother. I have tried many ways to stop masturbation, but all efforts was a no no for me. if I stop it today, after a week or month, it Comes again. First n foremost, masturbation is not a sin but a habit which can be very addictive and detrimental in many ways if you get addicted.

Having cleared the fact that it's not a sin and it was never mentioned as one in the entire scriptures... But when does it become a sin?

When you watch pornography to induce it then you are lusting after the porn stars and that is a sin.

A husband commits no sin by masturbating with the thoughts of his wife neither do I see it as a sin if a man or woman masturbates on their own without visual inducement... Sex is part of us and you can't pray away the urge or wish the urge away but you just have to be strong not to commit fornication which is having sex with someone you are not married to

But I consider it a dangerous habit if you over indulge in it which I guess is the case with you and I guess it has affected you so negatively...

I will advise you pray for the help of the Holy spirit to overcome it not because it's a sin but Because you have become so addicted that it is ruining you... Cos anything you do in excess or get addicted to can destroy you Asides self service like talking too much, eating too much, sleeping too much, drinking too much even betting and several other things...

Just like Paul advised us to get married if we can't control our sexual urge..

1 Corrinthians 7:9
Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
I will advise you get married if you can cos sex is part of us and you can't pray or fast it away and sex deprivation is one of the main reasons people masturbate.

If after marriage you still see yourself do it even with your spouse around then that calls for serious attention.

But no matter how difficult it is for you to overcome it, you are not disqualified as a born again and JESUS will never cast you away IF YOU DON'T GIVE UP EVEN TILL THE MOMENT YOU DIE.
