Is it the same Lagos that was rated as one of the worst cities to live in that is the pride of Nigeria ? Chai the same dirty, over crowded, go slow infested area .
Lagos that was developed by the igbos n the federal government, a no man’s land is now the pride of Yorubas. Keep deceiving yourselves there the igbos already own more than 50% of the landmass very soon we wud chase u out to go n develop osun , ondo oyo n the rest of the brown roof region .

But Lagos state should also develop to the rest of the South West.

Apart from Ogun state, the rest of Oyo state, Ekiti state, Ondo state, Osun state are developing at a slower pace with less tangible infrastructure to show.

INSTEAD OF A SUPER LAGOS STATE WE SHOULD HAVE A SUPER SOUTH WEST REGION.

Development should spread to the whole of the south western part of Nigeria not just Lagos state as an entity.

That was the vision plan of Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

PDP hasn't ruled Borno and Yobe too.

Lagos is strategically positioned to be great, Tinubu or not. These are some of the reasons:

1. It's a coastal city with deep sea ports which can accommodate large vessels. It's ports have been servicing the entire nation for decades.

2. It's the most populated city in Africa. Investments therefore naturally get to it first before any other location in Nigeria.

3. It's a former federal capital territory and had a lot of federal investments in it, which set a template for further development.

The truth is that the success of Lagos is not a function of Yorubas. If any other tribe had owned Lagos, it would still have been this successful.
Take a look at Abuja for example. Even without sea ports and other economic potentials, Abuja is growing in leaps and bounds, in real estate and in population. In d next few decades, can we turn around and attribute the success of Abuja to Gbagyi people?

Ibadan is the headquarters of Yoruba land and culture. That is a city built and sustained only by Yorubas. Any success made by Ibadan is strictly due to Yorubas. As for Lagos, it's a completely different story.
