The country has practically failed. So many criminals concentrated in one country due to the inefficiency of the present system of governance.

It is erroneous to deny the States the right to own their Police Force.

It is erroneous not to decentralize the Governing system and allow each unit to govern themselves.

It is erroneous to use the military against citizens instead of using them to defend the borders and fight external aggression.

Now the country is poorer than websites like Facebook, poorer than Companies like Apple, Amazon, etc.

No matter how hard you try to defend the indefensible, it must sink into your skull that the security apparatus of the entire country is totally under the central control of the FG/Executive aka Buhari. No state governor can dictate to the Police, Army, DSS or any other government security agency operative in their states. All they can do is fund and train civilian security groups which the government security agencies can disband and arrest at anytime as supposedly being illegal. The governor has no say over even the deployment of his personal security retinue as they can be recalled and changed at any time. The governor has no say in the deployment of any Commissioner of Police to his state and that Commissioner for Police only takes his orders from the IG who in turn answers to the FG/President.

Even if the Governor receives intel/info of impending attacks, he cannot direct any action unless the Commissioner gets clearance from 'above'. That is why in Enugu, although the Governr had received at least 3 days notice of the impending attacks at Nimbo, he could do nothing because all his frantic attempts to call the IG of Police, the then DG, DSS and the President (Buhari) were deliberately ignored by those who should have given directives to preemptively flush out the blood sucking marauders. Have you not heard that he who pays the piper dictates the tune?

The buck as far as security is concerned in Nigeria stops at the table of the President, in this case, Buhari.
