Having access to the car would help enable me pay back the loan plus you could come to my residence and we could have a notarised agreement.I could also provide guarantors if needed.I see nothing unrealistic about this as I can drive around with just the photocopies of my car.

you don't sound serious, how will someone hold "just" original copies of your car while you drive the said car around? (God4bid) what happens if the said car has accident before you pay the 1m loan? Can u try that with bank? Giving them documents of vehicle that replica can be made in ladipo.

You are not even telling us how many percentage u are paying on the loan which shows you don't know anything about loan and doubt if you will pay back. If you really need that loan with a good percentage interest, be ready with a landed property or you drive your car (not papers) as collateral down to the person ready to give u loan with written agreement.
