Also, I can't even imagine how much of a pain it'll be to work on that engine bay. So cramped. cry

Lol, just 340 HP tbh. Impressive but not really that much. I'm more impressed by the fact that they managed to pull that from a naturally aspirated 4.2L back in 2003 without direct injection or anything.

300 HP is the standard now, bruh.

Lol, that M5 is brutal. Such a glorious V10, too bad that it's so unreliable.

how many turbo charged i4s and turbo charged V6 or i6 can boost 0-62mph in 4.2s?

bad market is when you meet a sleeper vehicle and decide to play rough near it. grin

4.2s wetin. With 340 HP?
I'm pretty sure that's an Audi S4, and it does 0-60 in 5.6s.

Nice but not amazingly impressive.

The A4 or S4 for that year was never fitted with a V8

That is a A6 or S6 with 4.2L V8 0 to 62 in 4.2secs

The RS6 with turbo V8 is faster. Let's not forget it's called a sleeper vehicle so don't go chasing waterfall when you jam it on the road.

Also, there's not a single world in which 340 HP is enough to pull a mid-size sedan from 0-60 MPH in 4.2s. In fact, in this A6, it does just 296 HP. Y'all are massively overrating the performance of that car.

I was just trying to prove to you that the 4.2L was used on the S4, since you claimed otherwise.

And the times I posted are for the C5 A6 na. The Bx generation naming scheme is for the A4/S4. A6 uses Cx.

My point is that the 4.2L V8 Nwanneni posted isn't particularly impressive in any of the cars it was used in. Kpere. There's not a single car that uses that 4.2L that does 0-60 on under 5s. Sure, it's faster than most things on the road, especially at the top end, but it's not a king of the road or anything.

An IS350 or G35 will give it a run for its money without much sweat. It's at 120km/h those cars may start losing.

I didn't claim otherwise I think the mistake was from your end. the vehicle uploaded is a 96 to 2001 audi B5 so if I said the A4 or S4 wasn't fitted with V8 for that year I meant those of that generation 1996 to 2001 also.

probably you should compare it with Lexus and Infiniti of same generation like an IS200 or 300 and Infiniti G20

Greetings everyone, please I need help with my Benz A 160, it consumes a lot of fuel (around 10 litres/KM) & I notice some smoke from the exhaust in the morning. Those are unusual. I went for diagnosis and they said the Air flow meter is bad. The problem now is that this piece is together with the ECU (brain box). Someone told me it is repairable, I have also seen some forums that confirmed that. I have tried a few places but nobody seems to know about it.

So I need to know, is there anyone in here who can repair it? If yes, please drop your details, I'd call you. Now house would it be advisable to repair it?
The second option is changing the entire unit, if you have the unit also let me know how much it would cost. Am in Nasarawa by the way.

Below is the picture of the unit.

had it in manual mode.
That was 3rd gear tongue

So, this bothered me for a while, and I had to do my research. There's mechanically no way you could have been doing 120 MPH in 3rd gear with a C230 Kompressor. You were in 4th gear.

Not trying to start an argument, just providing empirical data debunking the claim.

Also not possible. 3rd gear caps out at 91 MPH in your car.

Not sure how the physics of that work out but that sounds like a very good way to kill your engine and transmission.
