Man Caught Withdrawing Cash From ATM Machine Without Card by merrymaker2(op): 5:20pm On Apr 09, 2019

A young man was caught collecting money from an Automated Teller Machine, ATM, points of one of the new generation banks beside Radio Nigeria, Dugbe, Ibadan machine without using a card.

Radio Nigeria reports that the young man, Azeez Morufu said the incident was not the first time he would be carrying out the nefarious act.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria, Morufu said he has a code he always input on the ATM to dispense without a card.
Morufu Azeez met his Waterloo when a passer-by saw him with a huge amount of money at the machine.
The witness explained that she became suspicious when he noticed the young man in dirty clothes withdrawing huge amount from the ATM.
The suspect has however been handed over the police.

I hope u guys did not kill him as usual. There what we call card less withdrawal on ATMs. U only need to generate a code with your mobile banking App and without card, U can withdraw on designated ATMs

Dial the USSD code for any of the banks and follow the instructions for cardless withdrawal; for GTB it's *737#; for access Bank it's *901#, etc.
This page has the code for all the banks.

You can also do it with the bank's app.

Not necessarily.

If you want to send someone to withdraw from your account for you it's better to use card less withdrawal, that way you don't have to give them your ATM card or your pin so they can't withdraw more than the amount needed.

For example if you need #5,000 you can generate a code for it, give the errand person the code and how to use the ATM, and the ATM will only dispense the #5,000 and nothing more.

Man Dragged to Police Station for Using the Cardless Transaction Option on the ATM
A young man by the name Azeez Morufu was reportedly handed to the police after withdrawing from the ATM without an ATM card.

The man was said to be in a dirty clothes and it surprised the people by the queue who were yet to know about the card less transaction that banks offer.

The man was apprehended and dragged by the people around to the police station, afraid that he had done something illegal. This happened in around Dugbe area in Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria. The man was taken to a Iyaganku Police division in the same city. There have not been news of his release yet.
