LadyHeaven:

Sir, please i am a civil engineer with 4years post graduation work experience (Nysc inclusive) is it true that i may not be able to apply for PR using the Engineer tag because of low years of experience? Is it better i apply as a Civil Engineer draftperson or technician?

I think u are qualified. I recently got my PR, and I'm a Civil Engineer. The experience I claimed in my visa application is 3yrs.
It all depends on how well u can prove ur point. U must be able to demonstrate that u are skilled in the job through ur CDR and professional statement. And off course, u need to commit it to God.

GoodMemory:
Got slapped $403 fine and 3 demerits points for driving 0.9 secs through a red light. I never knew driving through a red light incurred so much penalty.
Was rushing to pick up my kids.

Penny wise, Pound foolish. huh? grin grin

Y'all should try and avoid driving through RED lights as it's very dangerous for you and other road users...

Most of us are already on AUTO or Robotic mode especially after work. We have a foot on throttle, ready to Zoom once the light turns GREEN...

The result of the combination of our action (driving off immediately the light turns GREEN) and your action (continuing past a RED light) is an obvious one that doesn't need telling.

I once drove past a red light while lost in my thoughts. When I snapped back, I couldn't feel more lucky.

As for stopping when the light turns ORANGE, you also need to be careful in doing so as most of us apply the 5 Seconds rule before the light turns red. So, most often than not, cars behind you will increase their speed to beat the RED light. This is a known cause of accidents especially at traffic lights. If you stop when it's actually safer to go past the light before it turns red, you'll be judged as being at fault if it resulted in accident. Refer to your Road Rules... Use your rear mirror to see what the car behind you is doing. It's all part of the defensive driving skill...

I do say, I prefer speeding offenses to RED lights. 90% of Australian drivers are controlled by the traffic lights. They hardly watch out for others. They believe in their rights. In the case of accident, they know they're covered. Interestingly, some of them need the accident so the insurance company can write off their cars and give them a new one... What they forget is that Life Insurance doesn't mean you get your life back if lost; it's just a payment to support those you leave behind...

Drive safely...
Think of your loved ones...

Congrat! Kindly drop your time line in the other thread for others to draw encouragement from you and likewise to encourage others.

Lots of person no longer drop timeline these days and it's making the thread looks like noone is getting a grant.

I can see you're a civil engineer which I am too.
Talking about education assessment by EA, do you have any idea about how to go about each module. Since experience is not required as a civil engineer, was told to use my different school projects for the 3modules.
Read about a guy here that was banned for plagiarism when EA evaluated his credentials. All I need now is how to write each modules effectively so it will come out successfully.
Any idea from you would be great
Any idea from anyone will be highly appreciated

Thanks

Omo, I have been following both Germany, Canada, UK and Aussie threads. To be very honest I like the architectural feel of European countries but secondly life there and the tax rate is something else. And it seems they are harder to go to than Australia. Also from how good people have been helping each other in this thread. Aussie is the way to go. Before this year runs out I will be ready. Then by December or January I would be in Australia God willing.

However, I just finished NYSC with no work experience yet, I don't have driving license nor Int'l passport yet. I never even enter plane before sef "no mind the bush girl" but hey, there's no limit to our dreams except us. I have been saving though and Fiance is already in Indonesia asking where I want us to stay when we settle down. So that's why I have been searching. Moreover, I enrolled in a coding course(now in JavaScript going to Python and C++) just in case I'm going through job visa directly because I heard IT is in high demand.
Moreso, I have in mind to write the IELTS exam just in case, I am going through student visa. I have HND (Upper Credit) in Mass communication. Even if I'm starting afresh, I will still take it. No knowledge is wasted, besides I will be working too while at that and I'm still young.

I will also follow the student thread too.
Thanks to the lovely people that have been reaching out to help their sisters and brothers from home. Your kindness are appreciated and would have way for you. Amen.

Yes, motorbikes can ply the highways and freeways only pedestrians and bicycles are not allowed.

motorcycles have grade depending on engine size. Some motorcycles are not allowed on the road.

Is it not obvious to you that it is a scam? From the language to the desperation e. g "only 2 slots". A brief Google search will also tell you the different yltyprs of visas to Austraand if you are eligible or not.

I want to leave this country and I have been removing Australia from my list of places I'm considering for one reason, snakes!
Is it truly something to be worried about? I heard there are a lot of snakes in Australia and I'm terrified of them, can't even look at them on TV.
