Lecturer Called Out on Twitter After He Said Nigerian First Class Graduates Cannot Justify Their Degrees
A Nigerian University lecturer identified as Sam Amadi, @SamAmadi has been called out on twitter after he claimed most Nigerian first class graduates can not justify their first class degrees.

According to Lecturer Sam Amadi most first class graduates from UNILAG and other Nigerian universities cannot justify their degree.

Mr. lecturer’s claim obviously did not sit well with netizens as they took to his comment section to slam his for his claim.

Same thing in that same Maths department, Babalola was a professor in South Africa, baba na still be senior lecturer for UI. Mama Ugbebor got her PHD at age 25 from UK didnt become a Prof until she was over 60 in the same UI. SAD

He taught me algebra in 200level ...and I can say for a fact that he is the smartest lecturer in maths department... Better than those profs ...there were so many conspiracies against that guy.......If you're a genius please don't join Nigeria academia. ....there is also a genetic scientist in zoology department of ui.. But ui refused to recognise his PhD because he didn't receive his PhD from ui but from UK......the reason is dt he had to convert his PhD to ui standard... This said man is about the best geneticist in Nigeria.

The painful thing is when you get to the base of it all, all you will see is the "pull em down" syndrome and not incompetence.

Only God and the dead man knows the truth of the matter.But as a lecturer in a federal university,I believe he has access to tetfund and other agencies that offers scholarship to study in UK and other countries .

Mr Zubair of blessed memory, is a rare gem and one of the best lecturer in UI Mathematics department, I could remember he taught us Math 211 Real analysis, he has sound knowledge of the course, discipline guy. I could remember one very day in which he left a class and I approach him for a further explanation on the topic he just finish, at one corridor of the lecture room, then he spent about 45 minutes standing explaining the course to me untill am satisfied, his type of person is uncommon. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

So so sad--Zubair taught me Algebra in 200L in the same department;may his soul rest in peace

Unilorin is definitely not one of the schools within this ignoble bracket. I started my masters there in oct 2014 and by April/may 2016, my statement of result was ready. Bro if you don't finish your masters in unilorin within 3 sessions, it means you are simply UNSERIOUS and most likely gone AWOL. I also know countless people there who completed their programs in different faculties in good time.

A classmate with a first class degree has also abandoned the programme. We were 28 dere about that started the programme, I can confirm to you that only about 8-10 have completed the programme because they have lecturers that stood for them and helped them. Electrical must be very peculiar in that case. My neighbor did his in mechanical and as unserious as he was, he still finished within three sessions.sorry mate!

The saddest thing is that Nigerian postgraduate programmes teach nothing new. Many of them are repetitions of 300-400lvl BSc work and more annoying is that they take longer to complete.

What I understand about Western world is that they gain knowledge and use it to invent something useful, iPad, GPS, electric car, software...
Nigeria basically download everything from Western world. So what exactly is the PhD for?

Taught me Calculus, MAT 141 in 100L, 1997.
Though I began fearing maths after this, but I don't hold any grudge on him. I know he was good. We heard he was doing his PhD then. Don't know why he didn't just find another work.
